I'm well!!

HAPPY BELATED POST!! Meaning, I meant to write a post the day after Christmas. But, due to circumstances beyond my control (being sickness), it was postponed to later date (being today). Christmas was about as good as it could be, being sick like I was.
Lana and I gave Lily-Pie a baby doll that she loves.

T.J. and I bought some foam dart shotguns, which are pretty sweet, for Jeremiah and Josiah.

T.J., Lana, and I gave Brandon a video camera with a green–screen and editing software (I hope it works;p).

I gave Lana While you were sleeping, an old family favorite (it’s kinda sad, this is most likely her last Christmas with our family).

Lana, Brandon, and I bought T.J. an espresso maker, which is pretty cool (if you like espresso).

I bought my mom a 2 gigabyte memory card for the new camera my dad bought her.

For my dad - Lana, T.J., and I got my dad a huge scope for his little .22 rifle (it’s gonna be awesome when we get it zeroed in).

Okay, other than telling you all that I got, I will just tell you the biggest, the heaviest and the noisiest (oh yes, it makes noise) present that I got. I guess I might as well show you. This is Donor, my Christmas puppy.

Now before any confusion arises, I have had this dog for awhile. But if you will notice, he is sitting on carpet inside the house!! Now that you understand what the present was, please understand the sacrifice that it was. Our family of nine lives in a tiny house that is less than 1000 sq ft. so adding another dog is one thing, adding Donor is another. Donor is a hound/lab mix - very big and energetic. Here’s a picture of Donor next to Lola, my little dog (Lola is no tiny dog, she stands 14in. at the shoulders)

Now you should fully appreciate (not just understand) Donor, my Christmas puppy. Thanks mom and dad, I love you.

Okay, time for a real post. Umm, let’s see. Monday was chemistry class; we “tried” to make long lasting bubbles (not the flaming ones). After that I went to a surprise birthday party for a friend, we had pizza then we played basketball for a several hours.
I hadn’t touched a basketball (at least not with the intention of playing) in months. It was amazing; I still had the touch, I swooshed three threes in a row. My jumping needs some work though, I could only dunk on a nine or nine and a half ft. goal.
After that Mrs. M. took us home and visited with my mom for a little while. While they were talking I thought it was a good time to show my friends our swing. While we were walking over there my neighbor’s pit bull came over and started picking on the littlest friend. (poor kid is scared of dogs anyways). We ran Bull (that’s the pit bulls name) off and proceeded to the swing. Bull came back and we decided to just go back to the house after a few swings, we didn’t feel like messing with the dog.
After the Ms left I had to go lock up animals. I locked up the ducks and got over to the goats and realized that Bull was following me. I locked up the goats really fast (Bull doesn’t get along with the goats really well) and headed over to the chicken coop. While I was walking, Bull started nipping at my shoelaces, so I flicked him on the nose and said “no”. usually that does the trick and he’ll go home, but not this time. He just got mad and grabbed my shoe, squeezing my foot inside, and started pulling me around. Now I don’t know about you, but when a big huge monster dog bites my foot, I smack it on the nose. Well, this didn’t work, it just made him madder. So I made my way over to the gate at the garden so I could get inside the fence, kicked Bull in the head and disappeared in the tall grass. I snuck up to the house and that was all the fun that Bull could have with my foot that night.
A few days later Bull came over and was picking on Josiah, so I got onto him about it and he started barking, it was the meanest bark I had ever heard come from his mouth. So I looked at him and asked if that was supposed to scare me (if it was, he was doing a good job), then I started growling and ran towards him and he ran off with his tail between his legs. Bull doesn’t bother me anymore. Okay, enough of the dog.
Last night was our Christmas party at Riverwalk church (our apartment ministry), lots of kids and a few moms came. It was pretty fun. Dan and Andy played Christmas songs almost the whole time. Luke came to “help out”, I think he came more for Lana though. After it was over Luke and I cleaned up the leftover M and Ms.
I have all my Christmas shopping done, WHOOHOOO!! FIVE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!! Okay, I think that’s all.
Btw, I went to the orthodontist this morning and he said I get my braces off in mid Feb!!

Turkey Bowling and Christmas-Time

One teenage boy can make the difference. One boy can win the prize. One boy can be the turkey-bowl champion.
I am that boy. Say hello to the turkey-bowl champion of 2007!
Luke took Lana and me to a County-line basketball game last night, we only got to see the last half though.
After that we stayed for the fifth quarter activities(I shouldn’t say stayed for, fifth quarter was the reason we went). After goofing off for a while, it was time for turkey bowling. We divided into three teams and whittled it down to the final four finalists. I was the only one to get a strike, so I WON! The prize was a brand new frozen turkey (no idea when we are going to eat it, but we really will) plus bragging rights. After that Luke led some worship songs and then gave a devotion/lesson thing.
My family finally got ornaments on our tree today. We’ve had the tree for weeks, just haven’t put decorations on it. Christmas is 10 days away!! I still have some presents to buy, mainly for Jeremiah and Josiah. We’ve got Christmas with my dad’s family on the 22nd and my mom’s family on the 23rd. It’ll be pretty busy till after the holidays. I’m not sure if we’re doing anything for New Year’s Eve, but even if it’s just my family it’ll still be busy. Chemistry class this Monday, but then we get the next few weeks off. School’s out whoohoo!
Turkey -bowl champ, signing out . MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Drats!

I'm lost for words. Ever since that LSU-Arkansas game, there has been something in the paper just about everyday about Darren McFadden and his chances of winning the Heisman Trophy.
I was so sure that he was going to win it this year. He was the first runner up last year, and he gets to go down in history as the first person since 1949 to get second place two years in a row :(
I just about cried when Lana told me the news. To make matters worse, people say he might go pro next year, and if he does, he'll never have a chance to win.

Play List

Hey Everybody, this is big sister here. Well, older sister, I guess, the 'kid' outweighs me and is more than a head taller. Anyway, just wanted to say to everybody, check out the awesome playlist that Tony has been putting together. If you don't like whatever song happens to be playing, you can always change it- mine and Tony's taste in music is very eclectic.
I'll just go ahead and define it for you now, Emma, just in case you don't know ;^P
Sorry, after you told me I sounded like dictionary.com, I can't resist!

Eclectic means selecting from a variety of sources or styles.

Of course, if you looked at the playlist with country singers, weird al, Christian rock group, The Proclaimers, and whatever else he's put on there, well, if you saw that variety, you may have guessed what eclectic means ;^P

I should see if he'll put some LOTR soundtrack on here.... :^D

Anyways, signing off of lil' bro's blog now....
bye!

Crazy

Have you ever wondered why we do some of the crazy things we, as human beings, do?Well, it depends on what crazy things we’re talking about. Wars are crazy in a sense; they’re for freedom, land, power, religion, any number of things. Murder is crazy, people murder for revenge, hate, money (I’m sure there are more, just can’t think of them).Drugs are crazy; people risk their lives for/with drugs. But those aren’t the crazy things I’m talking about (bet you guys thought I was going somewhere spiritual with this).
I’m talking about stupid crazy stuff, stuff like jumping off of the top of 8ft. walls, just for fun. Going off ramps in a tiny ride-in jeep, even though it hurts bad enough just squeezing into it.
Going off a huge swing (if you’ve been to my house you know what I’m talking about) standing up, because sitting down isn’t fun enough. Why do I do those stupid things? I really don’t know. They’re fun, exciting, and sometimes scary.
Why risk breaking an arm for temporary pleasure, momentary satisfaction? (Here comes the spiritual part) It’s the same reason we sin, it seems like an okay thing to do, and then we look back and realize how dumb it was. But still we don’t really stop doing it, we can put a pillow on the seat of the jeep so it’s softer but it still hurts a little bit, so we use a helmet, helmets make everything better, right? Not really, helmets don’t stop us from doing crazy things, it just makes us feel safer. No matter how hard we try to be careful, every once in a while we’re still going to get hurt. The only way we can step out of our stupid crazy sin, is to step into Jesus, because Jesus is the helmet that really does make everything better.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMIAH!!!

My little brother, Jeremiah, turned four today!!!!
He's been very excited for the past few days, he's been talking about what he thought he was gonna get for presents and that he was gonna have pie (every dessert is pie to jeremiah). Today in church when communion was passed out he thought that since he was four he should get some of "that special red juice".
After church we went to Chuck-E-Cheese's and then to Benson's grill for lunch. Jeremiah is having chicken salad for dinner and hot fudge cake (mmm, delicious) for dessert.
Brandon and I bought him a Black and Decker play tool set(shh, he hasn’t opened it yet) , Lana got him a nice shirt, T.J. got him a new trike and I’m not sure what mom and dad got him, he’s just opened the shirt so far.
He just woke up from his nap(yes B-day boys have to take naps) so I better go.

Who are you?

Which LOTR character are you? Take the quiz above and tell me your results.

My goats

For those who are interested, I’m writing a post about my goats. For those who aren’t, too bad I’m writing about goats anyways.

OK, let’s see, I have four goats (3 nubians & 1 boer). I started out in September last year with a brown spotted Nubian doeling named Sally Brown, or just Sally for short. A while after that, I got two Boer kids ( buckling-Billy & doeling Barbie-Que brother and sister). I planned on keeping Billy and selling Barbie-Que, but Billy died a few weeks later and I and decided to keep Barbie-Que, and changed her name to Dolly.

About two months ago, my mom found out about two Nubian does (supposedly both pregnant). So we (my dad, brothers and me) hurried up and built a barn. Three weeks after my mom found the goats my dad took me to pick them up and bring them to their new home.

One of the new goats is solid black with reddish-brown markings on her legs and face, and she decided that she was going to be the boss (I decided she should be named “Queen”), so now all of the other goats have to get out of the way or else get rammed (they usually get out of the way, of course I would move too, Queen weighs about 180 pounds).

The other new goat is appropriately named speckles (she is covered in speckles) and doesn’t take too kindly to the idea of Dolly stealing her food.

I hope to get more goats sometime, but at least Queen is pregnant so I’m not sure how many new goats I’ll get. That’s all for now but I’ll keep you posted on Queen and her kids.

I have a blog

This is the blog.
