Happy Mother’s day!! Since everybody in the world has a mother, I guess they must be pretty special. ;P
I was gonna write a nice post for mom, but I couldn’t think of the right words to say. So, I guess I’ll just say this ”Happy Mother‘s day, I love you mom”.
Now, where to begin? I don’t remember when I posted last, so I don’t remember what all has happened since then… I guess I’ll just write about Saturday.
Saturday morning, dad, mom Brandon, and Jeremiah got up early and went to a yard sale some church was having. After they got back, Lana, mom, Josiah, and Lily went to the last wedding shower while the rest of us stayed home and cleaned the house and yard and everything. The plan for the rest of the day was that after the shower, mom and them would bring something home for lunch, and aunt Shana and granny would come over for awhile. Around half past noon, dad got a call on his phone, but I didn’t hear it until it was pretty much done ringing. So, I gave him his phone and a few minutes later, I heard something about….Tony….work….farm. Then, being the curious guy I am, go in to see what’s going on. It turned out that it was the guy that was gonna have me work on his farm, and he and his son were going out there for the day and wondered if I could go with them. So, I got to do my first day of work!! I was pretty excited! Once we got there, they gave me the tour of half of the farm(there are 200 acres in all, butyou have to cross a creek to get to the other side, so I saw that later). It was fun. I got to ride in one of these,
and then I ate weeds (with a weed eater) for over two hours until we got rained out(or in, I guess). My arms are
sooo sore today. After that, we took a break and then I got the tour of the rest of the farm. There aren’t any cows on the second part, just some barns and a LOT of grass. They showed me where they might build a pond, and where they’ll put a fence. They have around 100 cows right now, and after those improvements, they’ll get another 150 or 200 more. They just had a bull born Friday night and his momma wouldn’t nurse him, so they have to bottle feed him. He’s soo cute. I don’t think I’d ever seen a cow that little before…
After all of that, it was still raining, so we decided to call it quits for the day. It wasn’t bad for my first day of farming. ;)
