I Invented Aluminum Foil!!
This blog is titled “The Adventures of Sir Tony the Clever”. Well, yesterday in chemistry class, I didn’t feel so clever. We were learning (or attempting to learn) about the different orbitals that atoms have, and learning how to tell what protons went where and all that jazz. Quite frankly, I didn’t get it. Neither did Caleb M., when that happens, you know your group is sunk. Caleb came up to me at the game last night and asked “did you understand what we learned in class today?”; nope, not the orbital stuff.
*but*, that wasn’t all we did in class. For weeks Mr. Herb has talked about this murder mystery that we were going to have to solve. Well, this week we got the Mystery! 18 pages with clues hidden inside. I’ve figured out *how* the man (“Butch Harnik”) was murdered; just don’t know why. Oh well, I’ll figure out sometime.
Anyways, after class and coming home and doing school and all that, Luke came by our house to have dinner and take to us the Patriot b-ball game! I haven’t been to a Patriot game since the game after I finished playing over a year ago. It was a good game; Patriots won both games that I saw (I think they won the first game too, but I wasn‘t there). It was lots of fun.
Earlier today I was listening to “Third Day” or “Skillet” while I was doing my math; and my mom didn’t understand how I could stand that when I was doing school. She suggested I listen to something “lightly classical, with just instruments”, so I turned on a “Cross Movement” song (Cross Movement is a Christian rap group) . HA HA, very funny. Mom that she could feel stress deep inside her chest. That’s when I decided to use headphones ; )
Not much else has happened lately ‘cept T.J. moved out Sunday. And I found out that if you put a plastic case on your cell phone and keep it in your pocket all day it’ll overheat and freeze up, that’s kind of ironic.

Now that's what you call "ironic" (in pirate voice)
man, screaming rock music and rap make me stressed, too...
It wasn't *screaming* rock music.
This time ;p
Ask Daniel and Hannah.... they always listen to rock music while they do schoolwork. :P I don't usually listen to music while I do school but today I listened to some beautiful LOTR soundtracks that Meggy has lent me!!! :D (Luvya muchomuches Meggy!)
Yeah, they won all three games... at least, I think so. Everyone seemed happy, anyway. LOL jk, they really did win.
Aw, come on, sure you're clever. More so than I. Don't try to argue; I just now realized that you weren't talking about atom's orbitals and protons in aluminum foil.... man, all this random-title stuff is messing me up. LOL And anyway I *hate* chemistry.... *gag*
overheats and freezes up??? That's REALLY weird.... explain that scientifically... LOL
Ask Luke, the "phone expert".
aw, come on, YOU'RE the clever chemistry student... lol... ok, I will tomorrow. lol I still find that really weird, though.
LOTR soundtracks, well, well, Emy. Yeah, they're beautiful, though at times more intense than a rock song.
I can listen to music while I'm doing work *sometimes*, depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Rock is fine as long as it's turned pretty far down; it's not like I'm actually listening to the stuff (most of the time, anyway).
I need to break out my Beethoven; I got all nine of his symphonies for my birthday last year and I haven't even listened to most of them. Beethoven's not really lightly classical for the most part, though; more like "fiercely romantic."
Actually, I already asked Luke about it and he didn't really help me out at all. So, I have to take this problem into my own hands.
I'm no expert, but, it could be that the hydrothermic properties of this region created hurricane-force ice storms. That would cause the ocean to freeze and then melt, and then re-freeze which would create a semi-solid migrating land mass. Which could land a ship, right around here.
Yes, Luke, they *are* beautiful which is the only reason I'm listening to them, not b/c they're LOTR... :P I guess you're right about them being intense though. It made my schoolwork seem awfully dramatic. lol "Fiercly romantic", huh? OK, I'll stop. I shouldn't tease you *ALL* the time, should I?
Well I'm going to ask him again just to get on his nerves, Tony. lol But I have absolutely NO idea what in the world you are talking about.... ocean? storms? a ship?? WHAT?!?!?! Did your cell really like freeze up... like is it dead now?
Sorry 'bout that. It's a quote from "National Treasure".
My phone did freeze up. But I took the battery out and put it back in and it was good as new!
I got the quote before I read the explanation. It made me laugh out loud then my sibs bugged me as to why I was laughing. Anyway. I got the orbitals thing and if you look in the last part of chapter seven at the chart on page 235 it will help a lot. If you haven't read the chapter it is not at all suprising that you didn't get it. I was lost a little at first cause it had been a while since I had read it.
Light is what gets me. (gag) I do beleive that I am conquering it though.
Oh, ok.... no prob, Tony, I was just wondering WHAT that had to do with a cell or WHY you made that up to explain about a cell... LOL quotes... ah, they often have QUOTation marks around them... so that people know they're quotes... but, of course, I can't expect a youngster like you to remember that all the time. :P Anyway sorry, I've never seen that movie either. :P lol
Tony, thanks for my laugh of the day.
"Quotation marks", never heard of 'em.
I'm glad I can help relieve the tired and weary minds of people as old as all of you. :p
What movies have you watched Emy(besides Narnia).
it only made me confused... :P
ummmm, hello I'm nicole, from your chem. class. How do you make a playlist? confusion hurts and i'm computer challenged....
~nicole :o)
I made a playlist, but I can't seem to get it on my blog, grrr.
~nicole
Ok, go to projectplaylist.com and log-in, then click on help. then click on "playlist codes for other sites". then click on "click here", choose your playlist and copy the code. Then log-in to you blog, and edit layout, than add html. Paste your code and it should show up on your blog.
hope that works
hahaha, it didn't work for her but my sis and I fixed her... LOL
ok
oh, thank you for your help... it was most, errr, helpful! btw, you need to post yourself. you were telling your sister to...

Too true. And iPods freeze up too if your little brother so much as brushes his little fingers across the back. Also if anyone tries to play VORTEX besides me.
not true bout iPods what you talking bout? what VORTEX?? I feel dumb. :P Do I know *anything*?? LOL
Yes Emy dear you may feel dumb but no worries we're in the same boat! ^_^ Never really liked the atom junk you need to learn. ^_^ Hey I took this quiz thingy and it said I should go to college for art...hmm...true I like art but i'm doubting the quiz 'cuz it said I should minor in math! haha, totally false! no way I'm going for math...anywho...and I don't know why I shared that. ^_^
Since I'm speaking to Emy (and junking up Tony's comments...Tony don't ask me why I'm not on Emy's blog! ^_^)...Emy I'm stuck! *giggle* Lana's blog isn't working, and Lana's blog is also the only way I can get to Meggy's blog and I was gonna tell her that I'm about ready to paint a big green "G" on my forhead for the game (either that or a number 4..GO FARVE! ^_^ okay that was a post on my blog) and anyhow since I'm just rambling on and on....em can you get the links for Lana's and Meggy's blog on my blog? i can't do it. *pout on face* ^_^
And poor Tony...the oldest one in the house? that's sad...okay not really sad 'cause it really isn't that bad! I've been doing it for years, but it was bad when the last sib that was older than me got married. *sniffs and sobs* and then guess what...my B-i-L stole my sis away!!! ahhhhhh!!! all the way to VA! oh dear that was sad...be very glad Lana isn't going toooo far away!
