This is my family's ultimate favorite Tim Hawkins video.

Sorry, but I don't think it's very funny. I think it's kina wrong... Jesus Take the Wheel is a very good song, I like it... this seems like it's making fun of it.
That makes *two* country songs that you like. Wooohooo! Lana, we've got another country listener!! I like both songs, I think the video is the funniest part of this song...
Oh, wait a minute now!!! I have to be careful around Ms. Dictionary and Mr. Clever, don't I? Ya'll don't forget nothing. (that grammar was for you, Meggy) I *do* like both of those songs but that doesn't mean I'm a country listener! (although history shows that if I'm cultured to something for long enough I'll give in and like it, or if I'm around people long enough I start to be more like them... scary, huh? So ya'll be careful what you do to me. LOL) I like a lot of country singers' voices, like LeAnne Rimes (sp?) and Alison Krauss, and others.
Tony I think you maybe my hero. You have the hamster song. Ok so maybe your not my hero but it made me very happified when I heard the song on your blog. I thought about telling you all this in person on Monday in class but I thought that would be weird. And this isn't. Nod your head and agree with me now.
Your right about Rimes. I very much like Krauss. The bluegrass twang of their music is homey and appealing to me.
I like Cletus Take the Wheel. Have you heard the Homeschool Family song by Tim?
THAT's who did the homeschool family song??? Me didn't know that. (that was for you too Meg darling :P) No Tony that's not really what I meant... LOL but Alan Jackson is okay. I like a lot of styles of music. I actually (Hannah will kill me) do like a lot of country, just not all the time. I like the sound of most of it. I cannot hear the hamster dance song. :'( I've never heard it before and it says it has an error and can't play. Snapdragons and stinkbugs. Someone tell me about it.
I hate country songs. I like Relient K and random others. I don't feel witty tonight. I feel grumpy. I like the song, but don't like the original. Terrible, eh? ~Nicole
Hey Emy, usually parodies of Christian songs bug me, but this one does not. I think that the singer herself mocks her song more than any other singer ever could, by having her two hit songs at the beginning of her career be "Jesus Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats".... While I like the song, the former, I mean, I find it very difficult to take Ms. Underwood seriously as a Christian singer.
Wow, that sounds very formal... I really, *really* like Alison Krauss, btw. Her and Brad Paisley together sound AWESOME, the harmony is so pretty - it rivals Tim McGraw and Faith Hill!
Yeah Alison Krauss' voice is so sweet. I didn't know about that, and I'm not saying anything about Carrie Underwood as a person or a singer... I just like the song. *shrugs* I think it's quite awesome and I've found myself several times praying that... "Jesus, take the wheel!"
Hey Lana, we need to find some other Rad Paisley/Alison Krauss duet. "Whiskey lullaby" isn't exactly the best song in the world.
"as I tried to pull the fish inside, I pulled a muscle in my upper thigh and I was so scared. I threw my rod up in the air. Cletus take the reel..." I'm sorry if that offends anybody, but I find it hilarious.
It is!!! Okay, not grumpy anymore. Whiskey lullaby is a terrible and depressing song. What makes it worse is that it is country. You poor people, don't even know what you're listening to. Besides country, you have good taste in music. If (hint, hint) you go check out my music on my blog you'll see we have some of the same songs, awesome eh? ~Nicole
Sewage is not interesting. Well, besides the fact that they use 2% recycled sewage water in london. I'm soooo taking bottled water when I go there this summer! Or, drink nothing but coke there, although someone told me that the coke was really expensive there. Anywho, how can one write about it. Well, I guess I'd better figure that out. That popcorn we ate this morning was pretty good. Mine tasted like kettle corn cause we put sugar on it. ~Nicole
Tony, about Brad Paisley and allison krauss, it seems that whiskey lullaby is there only duet. BUT, Allison Krauss has, I think, an album of duets. And brad paisley has done other duets, also. So, maybe we can find another duet featuring one of those...
For those of you dying of curiosity, we talk about trying to sing a duet sometime, see Tony is a bass/baritone and I'm a first alto, so we like [trying to] sing together, and our voices blend pretty well....
Anyway, yeah, whiskey lullaby has beautiful music, but it's not a good song. The chorus is beautifully haunting though...
It's pretty simple. I know that I know Jesus and they might not. Besides, I wouldn't want to live the rest of my life knowing that somebody had died and I could've saved them. It kinda makes me sad to think about dying. there's still so much more that I want to do in life...
Oh Tony that's so great and I know what you mean.... but, the last part is what *I* meant... it makes me sad, and it kina freaks me out... even though I know Jesus, isn't it normal to still be freaked out about dying?
I'm a teenage farm boy in Arkansas. I've been homeschooled since grade 2.
I like basketball- Hogs ROCK(But they're not in my good graces now...)!
I take care of chickens, goats, dogs, cats- all the animals my family has. The fish is dead though.
Jesus saves! (which has nothing to do with the fish, it's just important.)
If you hang around here long enough, you'll find out that I'm kinda weird, but that's old news!;P
Oh, btw, don't be afraid of COMMENTING!!!!

Others like Tim Mcgraw, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, and Josh Turner? jk
Alison Krauss is okay, but I don't care for LeAnne very much...

You don't like the original?!?!?!?! Why not??

It doesn't offend me. I would find it much more funny if it wasn't a.... what did Lana call it? Parody? of a such a good song.
Wiskey lullaby is so catching and pretty sounding but it is a horrible song!Tis sad cuase it has great harmonics.
How goeth the paper, Sir Tony?

It's ok to make fun of good songs! Mike Williams does a STAR TREK GEEK off of Dc Talk's JESUS FREAK. Funnyfunnyfunny!
whatever Meggy, we already know we don't agree. :P
Nicole, there's water in Coke. :P
Hello Sir, thank you for the comment. I like your answer, though I wouldn't WANT to take a bullet...
I don't exactly *want* to take a bullet. I just think that if it ever came down to it, I wouldn't really mind dying to save somebody else.

Not "freaked out", just not ready.
