Words from a football dislikin' hot-pink wristband wearin' "duitar" playin' guy...

I got my hair cut on Saturday. It’s just long enough that my hair still curls up, but not so long that it won’t brush nicely. So that’s good (Thanks mom). On Sunday, most of the family was sick, so only Lana and I went to church. At chemistry class on Monday, we all got our papers back, all graded and everything. I got a 100!! I was pretty happy about that. Later on Monday night, Lana picked a voice out for me. I know, it sounds pretty weird, but it had to be done. I guess I better explain what I’m talking about.
I have this ability (if you want to call it that) to mimic, almost perfectly, the voices of many of the popular Christian singers. The problem is, because I do it so often, I have a hard time finding my “normal” singing voice. So, Lana, being the loving sister that she is, suggested that I should just copy one of the voices that I can do well and make that my normal singing voice (She chose Brandon Heath, btw, in case any of you were wondering). But now that problem is, I still can’t, for example, sing a Skillet song without copying John Cooper’s voice. I have to wonder how many other people have this problem. ;P Actually, I was wondering if there is a way to make a living by “mocking” famous people (other than Elvis Presley).
Not much else is happening except I got sick on Tuesday night, which really stinks. I’m pretty much over it now though. I’m just a tired and weak. I should be at least mostly back to my normal (or not so normal) self by tomorrow.

I'm tired and weak too, bro. Not very fun...but it was a lot less fun yesterday...except for when my fiancee came over and surprised the socks off me...

That's awesome. I can sometimes sound like Amy Winehouse (she doesn't sing the greatest of songs, but is awesome none the less). I wish I could do that. I really like Brandon Heath's voice. Lana, you picked good. Are you going to sing at her wedding? I love singing, don't you? I could sing all the time... well, I do.

Tony, just be a younger Tim Hawkins!

Your socks, Luke? Gracious no, they were still on. (*blonde smile*)

Wow, we all commented at almost the same time!!!

wow, we're all on pretty close together...
Tony's thinking of singing at the reception, but we don't know what song he would sing or what.

Cool!!! Both things!!!

Just letting you know, I said sometimes, which should be underlined, lol. Another one of my favorite voices is Norah Jones. You must hear her song "Don't Know Why". It is amazing and on my blog. I like jazz. I've always wanted to play the sax, but that's not happening.

Tony I LUV the title! lol Do you really wear a hot pink wristband??
You seriously got a 100??? Good grief...
That's funny about voices. I love to mimic voices but I'm not all that good. But I have your disability! I can't sing along to a song or sing a song at all without trying (unconsciously) to sound like that person. Weird, huh? The only imitation I'm close to is Heather Matarazzo (Lily in Princess Diaries) saying "You look ridiculous, you should sue" :P You've seen that movie, right? I think you said so. Are you still going to sing that one song that was on your playlist for their wedding?

Sorry to burst your happy moment Tony, but Emy should know that everyone got a 100. Except for the people who got a 99, then he told them to change it to a 100. What was yours on anyway? I forgot. Hey, but you did get a 100instead of a 99, cool, eh?
What song Emy darling? Our choir teacher sort of intimidates me. I've never really talked to her, is that weird?

Ohhhhkay!!!! Well it's still great that he got a 100 but thank you Colie for clearing that up, now I don't feel quite so dumb... I've never written a chemistry paper but I can't imagine I'd do too well. :P Is this the paper on water that I heard about at church?
Colie darling I don't remember. It was one that Tony said a while ago he was going to sing at their reception or something. Lemme see if I can find it... twas a country song, and I don't see any of those on his playlist anymore.
Our choir teacher is a bit intimidating, but don't be intimidated. She's really really nice and a very sweet lady. She doesn't mean to be intimidating, and when she "shh"s, she's just a little rough b/c she's used to public schoolers I think.

I play the sax. It's pretty sweet.

Yes emy, I really wear a hot-pink wristband. I need to get a new one 'cause mine is about to break.

Your choir teacher is nice. At least she was when I talked to her the other day.

I'm planning on singing some song at the reception, but I'm not sure what it will be...

The song was "Will you go with me" by Josh Turner.

I got a 100 and a smiley balloon. AND "this is an excellent paper" on mine. Yup. I was so excited b/c he had not thought about my angle of aproaching the topic of the sewer. That made us feel smart. You see mom came up with the angle but I wrote the paper. ;D

He expecially liked my sentence about rabid environmentalists. If you remind me I will post that paragraph on my blog.

Tony I am sure your paper was great. You come from the family of 'great papers'. What was your angle on water?

By the way, ya'll I think he liked Heath and Calebs best. Calebs was in color with lots of pretty pictures! Heath's had a storyish thing for the opening paragraph. Maybe I shall post that too.

Well, that makes us feel just great. We all got 100s but people still have favorites. Mom told me I couldn't make it sound interesting since it was supposed to be boring. Mean people (not my mom, lol).
The world is out to get me.
Emy, oh my word, when she went "shhh!" I almost cried! I hate making people unhappy and sometimes I just need to remember to keep my mouth shut.
"Will You Go With Me" is my only favorite country song. I don't think "Ode to Billie Joe" is.

Oh Colie don't worry about it, it wasn't anything against you, dear, she does it a lot and she wasn't even directing it particularly to you. I know how you felt, though, I am easily embarrassed and HATE it when stuff like that happens. Tony you know our choir teacher?? Oh yeah, you go to church with her, right?
You so have to show me your pink wristband the next time I see you!
Yes, Lady, thank you! That is the song. ;)
Tony I have a weird question. Why do you never capitalize the "E" in Emy? It doesn't bother me, I was just wondering.

Anonymous said...

Impersonators totally rock. Emy, I guess you're just short so you need a short e maybe?

Pyrolord said...

I don't capitalize the "E" because you don't. So, I asked myself, "if she doesn't even capitalize her name then why should I"? ;P

I didn't really have any specific angle for my paper. My main goal was to not get a bad grade on it. ;P

Anonymous said...

Hmmm, cool. You achieved your goal then! You play the sax? That is awesome!!! I've always wanted to play the sax. I can almost play the piano and guitar. Dad is teaching me to play drums. I love instruments (musical, lol).
Brandon tried to show me how to use his flute, hahaha, that was hilarious.
~Nicole

Meggy that wasn't nice.
Tony are you talkin about on here? Cause no names capitalize on here!!! You got on to me for putting EMY in ALL caps on the shoutbox. :P How's that for "not capitalizing"??? But on my blog I usually put Emy, don't I? Or EMY :P But whatever you want. lol
I can't play ANYTHING!!! woohoo I beat all of ya'll! lol

Pyrolord said...

I was talking about over there>>>>, on the shoutbox. You never put "Emy". You either do "emy" or "EMY", but never just the first letter capitalized.

I can play piano and sax pretty well. I'm better at sax than piano though. I play guitar some, but not as well as I'd like to. I think that it would be cool to start a band with some of my friends from church. We've talked about it for years, but never actually done anything.

Anonymous said...

Oh, okay, well maybe you're right then. Prolly are if you're like your sis and almost-bro-in-law :P

But you said you rock at the duitar, right?

Anonymous said...

What are you talking about emy, I AM so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I play bells, I 'have' a duitar, piano, sing, teach bells, choir, and I think I am going to have to learn the mandolin to help my sister learn. Teaching bells is the hardest part. We ring next Sunday! Ahhhh!

Anonymous said...

You weren't then, Meg.

Lady dear, you have a guitar, not a duitar, right? :P

Pyrolord said...

I *do* rock at duitar. But, seeing that it is a fictional instrument, it doesn't really mean all that much. ;P
I should probably focus on the guitar more than the duitar for right now.

I did bell choir a long time ago. I think it was fun, but I don't really remember.

Unknown said...

wait, wait, the DUITAR is *fictional*???
Man, Tony, I was so impressed that you had an instrument at which you were secretly adept.

;^P

Anonymous said...

*wide eyes and slightly open mouth* The... the duitar is.... is... fictional?? I can't believe you have all led me astray all this time. I thought I could trust you. You both told me that you Tony rock at duitar. I'm... I'm so....
:P jk lol

Luke Hobbs said...

Emy, I'm not even sure that you're really gullible. Maybe it's all one giant act, and you've been fooling all of us, even Nan.

Anonymous said...

What?! Why would I do that? Me confused. I'm pretty gullible, honest. I thought you'd know that by now. But really, I was totally kidding about the duitar. :P
