'bout time...

Well, I haven't posted in a looooooooong time.
So, I'll see if I can remember any important stuff that's happened duiring said looooooooong time.
ummm, Thanksgiving, which Lana posted about.
Jeremiah's birthday, which was fun. We went to Chuck E. Cheese's, which, is the best place in the world to spend money and time on stupid little prizes. I didn't even bother trying to get lots of tickets, 'cause I never get enough...;P
What else...(actually, I've got something else, I'm just trying to think of something ELSE to write about before the thing that I've already thought about)
We had a special dinner thing at church to kick off our Season of Blessing thingy. It's pretty neat, everybody gets ten bucks and has to use it to bless somebody in whatever way you feel led to. I haven't used mine yet... I guess because I haven't felt like I was supposed to...
Oh yeah! I thought of something cool! About a year ago, I borrowed Relient K's cd "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right but Three do", and I kinda lost it... But I found it the other day! Talk about awesomeness, 'cause I was gonna buy a Relient K cd because I had a huge lack of Relient K cd-nes, if that makes any sense...
But, in order to listen to a Relient K cd without disturbing your mother who doesn't happen to have the same taste in music as you(actually, she has no taste in music whatsoever...), you kinda have to have an mp3 player. So I got one. Not just any old mp3 player. An iPod, 'cause they're the best, in my opinion. And not just any iPod. nope. The one and only iPod Touch!!! It's flippin' sweet!!!!!! It's kinda like walmart, 'cause I lived just fine without it, but it sure is nice to have;P

So, yep, that was what I wanted to write about...

What else.... It freezing rained yesterday/today. Or would you say it rained freeze? Or maybe it frained... Why does everything have to be so confusing?!

I just thought of a couple more things.
We had a party for the end of Spanish class. Caleb and Jared/Steve(could somebody explain that to me please?) M., and I wanted to do a song(I think it's turning into a tradition...). We were gonna do the dance of the cucumber, but that didn't work out, so we just did Feliz Navidad. It didn't turn out quite like we planned, big surprise, but it was pretty fun.
Then yesterday we had a Christmas party in science class, and a test after that(unpleasant story in there...). I think I did pretty good on the test. It won't surprise me if I got it perfect, but then again it won't surprise me if I didn't either;P

Okay, let me see if there's anything else worthy of posting about.....*scanning memory*.... Let's see.. We're going to Florida this summer! It's for a family reunion! I think we're staying for like, five days. Then there's around one-day driving each way, so about a week long deal. It'll be fun! I haven't been to the ocean in a couple of years...

Well, I think that's about it for now... maybe... yep, I think it is...

What?! You're still here? I said that's it! Bye-bye! so long! see ya later

Come on! Don't you understand English? yeah, me neither...;P

I am not a girly man

I broke down and signed up for the jewelry contest thingy.
Here's the link:
www.silvertreats.com
I can't believe I'm doing this... If I win it'll be a nice Christmas present for Lana. I already got a $10 gift certificate, not that I'll ever use it...
Anyways, sign up, register for something other than day 1, unless you're giving it to Lana, and don't pick on me for this. T.J. did it too...

Bum ba da dum da da dum da da daa!

Well, as Lana said, I do have something to post about.
In our living-room, we have a white cabinet where we keep diaper bags purses and whatnot. Well, I've kind of adopted two of the shelves on that cabinet, and I keep some of my stuff on them, such as my glasses, a few pocket knives(don't worry, the shelf is pretty high), my retainer, wallet, a box of playing cards(no idea why those are up there...), phone, etc. Well, as I was looking on one of the aforementioned shelves, I saw something. It was one of the strangest sights in the world: A piece of gum. you know, those huge pieces of bubalicious gum. It's cotton-candy flavored, not my favorite, but it's gum none the less. So as I pull the gum down, I see yet another surprise: A box of Necco candy hearts left from valentine's day from T.J.(actually, that has a funny story behind it...).
So, yeah, it was sure something to post about. I don't even like Necco though, so maybe I should mention something else... I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE TODAY!!!! I'm soo happy! I drove all the way to the gas station by myself for the first time! The gas station is only two miles away, but that's beside the point! I get to get my own key to the van at some point too...
Actually, I mentioned it when we got back from the revenue office, and mom was like, "do you really want to go back out with these guys?(Josiah had a bit of a rough time)", and I said, "hey, not everyone has to go! I can go with Jeremiah!" Except that mom didn't want me driving by myself for the first time on a Friday afternoon... But a few hours later I did get to drive to the gas station! Do I have a one-track mind or what?

gottababyit'sagirl

I know, I posted just yesterday, but I wanted to post again because....
mom had a doctors appointment today and we happened to find out that the baby is a GIRL!! Jeremiah says we should name her "We love you the bestest".
Speaking of Jeremiah saying things: Dad asked him who he would vote for, and he said he would vote for a girl because girls are nicer and prettier. So he would probably vote for John McCain because he has a girl vice-president... He's too funny!
ARGH! It's not letting me put spaces between paragraphs...

The scrolls, the scrolls, the buttons, the buttons. Srollin' so smooth like the butter on the muffins

If you don't know what the title is from, then don't even ask...

I'm tired, so I'm likely to not make sense.

I have random movie quotes running through my brain...

I like pumpkin pie.

My legs hurt.

Dad's playing the wii. ACK! The TV is WAY too loud! He turned it down. Not that any of that matters...

Kit-Kat bars are the best. Except for Twix, and maybe Skors...

I just had a thought. Then it left me.

The reason I get lost in thought: It's un-familiar territory.

That's actually not entirely true, but the thought crossed my mind(it never stopped though).

Oh, yeah! I almost forgot!

As some of you may know, T.J. works for Tri-Sign,

and the other day they only had two people available, and they needed three.

So I got to go and help fix a sign.

Which means I got to climb an insanely steep ladder,

and then go in one of THESE!

Total sweetness!! The arm goes 65 feet high, and we went almost all the way up!

It was fun...

Oh well, I think the compy is wanted, so I'd best get off now...

Awards are awards, no matter what you call them

I've been awarded!!!!!(thanks Lana)
It's my first award ever!!!
I guess I'll award T.J.,
and mom, if she wants it.
I'm gonna try to post a real post tomorrow,
'cause I know y'all are just waiting for me to post again... ;P

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Don't you judge me, 'cause it wasn't until after that brick left my hand that I was thinking "this is probably not a good idea"

Yesterday (meaning 2 days before tomorrow), we went to a going-away party for one of dad's co-workers, and I got to spend some time with my buddy Zach!

I've known Zach for years. I met him when our family was doing a teen-ministry thing, going to a local apartment and bringing the teens back to our church for a lesson, pizza, and free-time (of course food and free-time, that's the only way you can get them to come! ;P), and his mom (another of dad's co-workers) came to help, so he got to come along. That was back when I was around 12, and Zach would've been 3 or 4....

Anyways, we ended that ministry awhile ago, so I haven't seen Zach since then.

So, yesterday, we pull up to his house and I go over to Zach and say, "hey, Zach, you remember me?". He was like, "Of course I remember you, I just didn't recognize you..."
He's 7 now, and he's a HUGE football whiz. If he tells you something about any sport, you can probably believe it's true.
I don't think he really wanted me to leave... He's too sweet, and funny. He even did an impression of his football coach! I almost died!!

So, what else is goin' on...... I figured out how to play something on the guitar, and it sounds so familiar, but I have no idea what it is. It's really bothering me... It's like when you have some stupid song stuck in your head, but you only know half of the words and it drives you crazy. Ugh, it's awful!

Man, you know something? That's good, cause you should know something. What's weird is how something means different things all the time. That sure is something, ain't it?;P

There was a cat-fight outside a minute ago. I hope Timone didn't get hurt, 'cause I saw him over where the noise was coming from...

Anyways (I say that a lot, don't I?), I need to finish up so I can head to bed(I didn't say "Fred". Oh, man, it came out anyways[AHHH!!!!!! I said anyways again!!!!])

I think I'll just stop writing now.... Well, I'll at least put my little endind thingy on here.

-Tony

There, isn't that a nice way to end something, with a name like that? I think all books should end like that instead of with a lame "the end".;P

Even on my worst day, at least I can say that I'm smarter than the average couch

Okay, the other day, I was walking to mom and dad's room, and as I'm passing the bathroom I hear, "Brandon! Oh my gosh! What's the matter with you? You wasted all the toilet paper!" Turns out that it was Josiah, and Brandon didn't "waste" the toilet paper, he just finished a roll. It was absolutely positively the one of the funniest things that I've heard lately. The other funny thing I actually made up, and it's a bit of an inside joke, so I'm not gonna tell you. *nyaa naa*;P

Yesterday, Brandon and I went over to the McC's house and watched the "Fellowship of the Ring: extended edition"! Andrew had never seen it, so I just had to scare him at the part where Bilbo jumps towards Frodo... Man, it was priceless...

Can't think of anything else to post about, but I'm gonna try to post at least once a week from now on. AND, Andrew, I know you read this every so often, so there's no excuse for your non-commentingness. So, remedy that sometime will ya? ;P

I cannot even begin to describe how much I would love not to go to prison

Hey everybody! I haven’t posted in weeks, but I’ll soon remedy that.
So, since my last post, we went on vacation to lake Bull Shoals and stayed there for a whole week. It was fun, but we were glad to get back home! My birthday was the 13th (write that on your calendars everyone, it‘s a important date ;P), and I had lots of fun! Lana and Luke came up too! I even got….*dramatic pause*….. A NEW CAR!!!!!!!!! It’s a 2006 Jaguar XK! The only problem with it is that it’s only about two inches long…;P So, yeah, I won’t be driving it. We went trout fishing (in America) on the White River a couple of times, and I caught my first ever trout! It was a 13” long rainbow trout, and it tasted pretty good too!
Sunday the 21st(better write this one down too ;P) was Brandon’s birthday (happy late birthday! Well, the birthday wasn‘t late, just the happy… Wait a minute, that doesn‘t sound right… anyways….). Brandon happens to share a birthday with Andrew McC, who also happens to be one of my best friends, so it’s not uncommon for our families to get together around birthday time. So, the McCs came to our house on Saturday(a LONG overdue visit) and we had burgers and a fire and smores and stuff… Lots O fun! Andrew is gonna get together with me sometime soon and we’re gonna watch LOTR(he hasn‘t seen them yet), which I can’t wait to do!
What else? My guitar case(b-day present from mom & dad) should be delivered tomorrow, and I’m SOOO excited! My guitar will have a HOME!!!! Hopefully it fits better than Andy‘s new doghouse ;P (Andy is from the pearls before swine comic) I ordered it from zzounds.com which has very good prices on most things, were talkin’ like around 40% off the normal price! Pretty sweet when you don’t want to spend more than you have to on something…
I’m gonna say something totally random here. My hair does weird things. Sometimes it will behave itself and get brushed(well, not really “brushed” per se, more “artistically placed“. Yeah, right… ), but sometimes it has a mind of it’s own. Today, I took a bath and didn’t even look in the mirror until about ½ hour later, when my hair was, for the most part, dry. What I saw in the aforementioned mirror was kinda funny, and it was almost an inspiration. My hair was sticking out and curling up all over the place and it actually looks kinda cool. Needless to say, I didn’t have the heart to brush it. So, my hair looks… interesting, to say the least. Ah, here we go, a picture… The picture doesn’t quite do it justice, but I think it’s pretty funny. I might even set it as my profile pic, just cause it’s weird…
I’m weird like that.;P
Oh well, it’s been fun, but I think I’ll call this post done(how‘d ya like that little rhyme? I do stuff like that all the time. ;P)

Heehee, this is too funny!;P
But Carpathia ummm, I mean, Obama has no cool moves. He hardly even moves his feet...

if caterpillars + parrots = walkie-talkies, how do you get cell-phones?

Man, I haven’t posted in like, forever and a day… Oh well, I can change that right now.
Umm, I can’t remember how long it’s been since in my last post, so I’m not quite sure what’s happened since then, so, I’ll just ramble on for awhile until I’ve satisfied the writer within me.
So, let’s see… I guess I’ll just start with the past few days, ‘cause I can’t think of anything else that’s interesting.
So, on Friday, we went up to the dairy and got milk, and then we went to the bass pro shop. After that, we went to “Los Cabos”, which was really good.
Yesterday, we went to my cousin Kyle’s, (AKA, J.R.) wedding(it was like, three hours away). It was pretty nice. The colors were black and hot-pink, totally awesome! After the wedding, we went to the reception(’cause receptions are usually AFTER the wedding, duh!), and had lots of good food like bulgogi (awesome Korean beef, made by my aunt, J.R.’s mom, who’s from Korea. Is that cool or what! ) and egg rolls. Ummmm, after dinner there was music and dancing and whatnot… I did a little bit of dancing. I think people might of liked it just a little bit… They did this one line dance thing called the “cha-cha slide” or something like that which it was a TON of fun, ‘cause a lot of other people did it.
Oh, what else? I got to play with my uncle’s iPhone, totally sweetness…
My cousins and I talked a lot about nothing much…
My cousin Sam is trying to get me to get a myspace (which, I won‘t do, ‘cause if I got anything it‘s be face book. But I don‘t think I‘ll even get one of those)…
You can tell I’m running out of stuff to say when I start mentioning stuff like that.
Oh, yeah, on the way up to the wedding, we played “Apples to apples” which is incredibly fun.

And, last, but not least, my birthday is on Saturday!!!!!!! And we’re gonna go on vacation next week so we can relax after being seriously stressed out since Christmas… It’s gonna be fun!!! We’re going to a house right by Bull Shoals lake (like, a couple hundred feet from that water), and pretty close to the white river. So we’re gonna bring the kayaks, and we got a raft thingy to take. And, what’s gonna be really sweet is that the lake house is twice the size of our house… I hope we don’t get lost in all that space. ;P

I guess that’s it for now. So, until next time,
Adios amigos!(see, I‘ve been doing my Spanish ;P)

I've always wondered what it would be like to write a whole post on the title thingy... But I'm not going to today

I suppose it’s time for me to take the role of blog-writer once again.
Let us look back and see what awesome and stupid things I have done in the not-so-distant past…
School started this week. Can I get a “bless his heart”?;P It ain’t all that bad... Except for math *shudder*, but I think I’m over that now (at least, I'm supposed to be). Not much else goin’ on...
Fan the Flame is in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I’m excited? AND, my dad is driving a church van up there, so he gets to come too! Several times now, he has tried teasing me about not being able to go(of course, I'm virtually un-teasable, right? ;P), and I said it was ’cause he was jealous. But now, he has (basically) an obligation to go! As I said in a comment on the last post, 19 signed-up to go! I’m excited to see what God has in store for us. I’m also excited to see what all they changed up(and I know they changed things up, ‘cause, well, I just know). I guess I’m just plain excited! In fact, I’ll say it right now, I’M EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What else…. I got the first “Left Behind” book on Tuesday. I really liked it. In fact, I can’t wait to go to church on Sunday so I can get the second one! On second thought…. Never mind, I’ll be back at church on Tuesday for Spanish class again, so I can get the third book then. Which reminds me, Micro-biology stats on Monday. I’m looking forward to that, ‘cause I kinda like science. Any of y’all taking it too? Just wondering, ‘cause I’m gonna miss one week due to vacation, so I’m gonna need to get a copy of notes and homework and stuff.
I also have to go to bed, so, you know how that goes…..
BYE!
Tony
P.S. I’ll post that video later, Lana. I just didn’t want to have to find it right now.

From Paper to Plastic !

So, I got my restricted license last week! Now, I have photo I.D.! The dumb thing is, to get said license, you have to have a birth-certificate and another form of "secondary identification". What I want to get is, how is a 15 year old supposed to have a plethora of I.D.? AND, the nasty people at the DMV wouldn't take a year-book as I.D., so they sent us to the bank to have some person sign a paper saying that I am, in fact who I am, and that dad is, in fact, my father. Dad and I kinda looked at each other, and were like, "duh, can't you tell? you need somebody from a bank to tell you that?". Man, some things are so dumb and time-consuming. AND, when I took the road test, the guy fussed at me for backing out of the parking space, even though I did it EXACTLY how the book tells you to! Then, he started this whole talk about how they should take that out of the book because "you can't fully control your vehicle if you don't have two hands on the steering-wheel at all times"... And then he got onto me about the way I stopped, and said I didn't come to a "complete" stop, because he didn't get slammed back in his seat. Sigh, if he thinks I did bad, he must not have been the one to give Lana her road test, because there would've been no way she could have passed it.;P

Something kinda cool is, when I was getting the license, I got to say I wanted to be an organ donor. Not that I want to have to donate any organs right now, but it's cool to know that if something were to happen to me, I could maybe give somebody a chance for a better life...

Anyways, mom and dad's anniversary was Friday, so they went up to Tulsa and Lana and Luke came to our house to help out(or was it, "make out"???;P).

On Sunday, Tim didn't end up showing the FtF video, but we still had like, 15 people sign-up to go, and several more were going to think about it. Not too bad, seeing as how they didn't know hardly anything about it...

What else? umm, Brandon and I each started an iPod Touch fund. We figure, by the time we get enough money for them, they'll be cheaper, at least, I hope so... I'm not gonna buy any extra little stuff, and I'll save my b-day and Christmas money, splitting it between savings and my fund, so it shouldn't take more than a 1/2 million years or so to get enough...;P

Now for an outlook on the not so distant future.

We're going to some friend's house on Friday(that's getting more and more rare as our family get bigger, I don't think we'd fit at a lot of tables ;P)! We start school next Monday, and spanish class starts the Tuesday, so that's cool. Microbiology starts the 25th, so that's pretty awesome too.

Oh, duh! FtF is less than two weeks away!! I almost forgot to mention that. I'm really excited that the CCC youth group is finally going!! I'm hoping more people will sign up to go next week.

I'm gettin' hungry, so, I'm gonna go now

A POST

Hello, welcome to clevertony.blogspot.net. (It's ".com")
Oh, welcome to clevertony.blogspot.net-it's.com.
Hey everybody, this is, A POST!
Are y'all happy? ;P
Seriously, this is a post.
What's goin' on?...
We got "Wii Fit" the other day, and it's AWESOME!!!!!
We'd been trying to find one for like, several weeks.
And they finally had some at Best Buy.
We actually got three of them.
One for us, and the other two for people at dad's work
(they couldn't find any either).
I had to go to church on Friday to practice the skits.
I was about ready to pass out for the first hour or so,
because I felt awful and my part requires lots of yelling...
Oh well, the pains of acting.
I get my seat reserved at church on Sunday (it makes me feel special),
'cause we don't want us drama people to cause a scene just getting out of our seats.;P
Brandon and I watched the Platinum Edition Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,
which was awesome!!!
What else?????
I went up to Luke's grand-parents house Tuesday evening/Wednesday to film Hunted,
and I think we finished almost all of my scenes,
including the much anticipated paintball scene(I was excited about that).
When we were having breakfast Wednesday,
Daniel looked over and saw some armidillos,
so we ran over there (barefoot), grabbed some rocks and had a war with 'em.
I hit one, but it ran into the woods.
When I got back over with Daniel,
he said one of them had fallen off of a small cliff thingy (around 15 feet high).
So, we climbed down (still barefoot),
but the dumb thing had crawled back were we couldn't get to it.
So Daniel went back up, and I stayed down there.
After a minute, it came out again, and Daniel threw a rock on it's head (from the top of the aforementioned small cliff-like thingy).
Then the thing started going bonkers and went into convulsions and stuff,
so I ran over to where it was and threw a rock at it and it ceased breathing.
So, I should get credit for killing it, but Daniel, will beg to differ.;P
What else?
Mom and dad's anniversary is next Friday,
whcih also means my permit expires next Friday
(not sure what we're doin' about that yet..)...
This is turning into an incredibly long and therefore probably boring post.
So, good-morning.
And in case I don't see you, "good-afternoon", "good-evening", and "good-night".
Except that it's already afternoon, so, that ruins that whole plan...

I think a title is supposed to go here...

Brandon has been getting on to me for not posting a real post(of course, he hadn't updated in forever until this morning ;P), so, I might as well go ahead and post...

ummm, what's been going on???
Brandon and I have been roofing the barn, and we finished it this morning.
Mom hasn't been feeling well, so I have to help with cooking and such. Cooking isn't bad, it's the cleaning up after it(which, I don't always do...).
Brandon and I invented a new sport called, umm, "underwater kung fu", or something like that. It's pretty fun, because we can punch each other as hard as we want and it doesn't hurt! At least, not too bad...
I need to call Lana at some point today to ask her if she's gotten a copy of the FtF video to CCC yet, 'cause we need to start showing it in church this Sunday.
Speaking of Sunday, I kinda volunteered/got volunteered to do some short drama stuff to go along with a sermon. So I have to miss Sunday school next week to work on it.
It kinda stinks because "Elder selection Sunday" was last week, and in Sunday school we had a mock nomination thingy. But we were gonna see how our "votes" lined up with the actual votes. So I don't get to be in there for that.
We also nominated people from the youth group to be our leaders. I should've voted for myself, but I don't know how that would've worked.;P I know I got at least one vote though, because I heard someone say "How do you spell 'Lou....'?". It was kinda funny, especially since it turned out to be Joel M. that said it. Of course, then he asked me if I would vote for him... no way! ;P
Anyways, I'm doing a skit thing, and I get to be a wild preacher guy and hit people with a big bible. It's gotta be cool if I can do that! I really have no idea what I'm doing other than the vague description I just gave y'all.
There are four other skits too, but we haven't picked people for those yet. I probably won't be in those(at least not *all* of them) because I'm not sure if we'll be in town or not...

Oh, also, the Hildes are moving again. FAR away this time though:( I mean, really far...

Well, I'm being beckoned away from the compy, so, bye

A Long Rambling Post

We got 10 more chickens today (we only have two left from the 20 we got awhile back:( ), so now we have an even dozen. These new ones should start laying in about a month or so, so that's cool. But, it wasn't the coolest thing today, at least, not for me.
The coolest thing, was that when we pulled up to the lady's house to get the chickens, I saw a huge dog with a shaggy white coat with a few brownish spots, it's tail curled up over it's back, a huge bear-like head, and double dew-claws (yes, I noticed all of that in like, 10 seconds). Now, that may or may not mean anything to you, but I happen to know exactly what type of dog has those characteristics. I also happen to want one of those dogs very badly. It was a Great Pyrenees, or Pyrenean mountain dog.
These awesome dogs were bred to be fierce dogs of war, and I'm sure they were, but in times of peace, they were left out in the mountains to guard the sheep and goats. Since then, Great Pyrenees have been used to guard all kinds of livestock, all around the world.
Anyways, this lady had one. So, I start petting it, and I see another one come around the corner. But this one is all-white, and he was even bigger, he happened to be the first one's son. As we talk with the lady, she says that somebody wanted the dog to guard their goats, but this one wanted to be around people, so they gave it away for free(what were they thinking?!?!?!).
At first, the lady didn't know anything at all about the breed, but since she has had it, she hasn't had anything kill any of her chickens.
After awhile the dog had a litter of 7 puppies, gave 6 away and kept one for herself. The one that she kept is a male, and he's only one year old and he absolutely HUGE!!! And he hasn't even gotten his long coat yet!! (we asked if she wanted to sell him, but she didn't:( )
So this lady went from not knowing anything about these dogs, to telling us that she would "always have one" on her farm and that they're "worth their weight in gold".

I'm thinking that this is what we need to keep things from killing our chickens...
We asked her to give us a call if she hears of anybody wanting to get rid of one(which, sadly, happens a lot because they're awfully cute little puppies, then they turn into huge dogs...).

I really rambled on a lot there.... Bye!!

Fish doesn't like water

Here are some pics of Fish,
but she's a lot cuter in real life than she is in the pictures.
Plus, you can't see the patch of white on her neck.
Which makes her a cool cat, not a weird black one.

Cleaning herself
(of course, because cats freak out if they get dirty)

Walking away, because she's too cool for me.

Earlier today, she was sitting outside of the pool while we were swimming,
waiting for her breakfast (which was a little late...).
But I guess I didn't pay enough attention to her,
because as soon as I walked away,
she jumped right onto the edge of the pool.
Now, being the animal expert that I am, I know that cats don't like water.
So, I picked her up, dipped her feet in the water,
to show her that she wouldn't like it, and put her back on the ground.
She didn't get the hint.
As soon as I turned around, she jumped right back up, meowing her head off like crazy.
So, long story short, she got her food and then went to sleep in the sun to dry off.

I really don't know why I wrote that, but I had to write something else, so, I'll quit now

We got it on ebay

We got a go-kart last night!!!!!
Here's a pic of it

Here's Brandon in action!!!
And then, of course, me. Doing some awesome doughnuts
It's totally SWEET!!!!!
we've been saving for it for quite a while,
putting money in the fund for b-days, Christmas, Father's day, etc.
And now, we finally have it!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a JEHM Powersports BX125 ATK(all terrain kart), and it's AWESOME!!!
And it's fast!!!! And it looks cool!!!!! And it's big enough for me!!!! And it's two-seater!!!!
Brandon has a couple short clips of us driving it on his blog,
and he'd appreciate if you'd comment him.
I'll post a regular update eventually, if I feel like it...;P

Happy Independence Day to YOU!!!!!!!

I LOVE the 4th of July!!!

Fun, food, fireworks, festivities, fun-ness, fire stuff, umm, I'm running out of words.

Anyways, it's one of my favorite holidays. I'm just gonna write a few quick things 'bout what's been going on, in no particular order.

We re-painted and replaced carpet in Lana's room, so it's now the playroom. Which means that the house should stay a little bit cleaner... I hope.

We got a bunch of stuff from Granny's house, and most of it is put up, I think.

Brandon and I have been riding T.J.'s dirtbike some, in our spare time. I finally got some "big" air!! Meaning like, 1 1/2 to 2 feet above the ground...

T.J. finally started posting on his blog, which is cool.

I still haven't thought of a good name for my kitten, and she's several months old. So, I'm open to suggestions.*hint*hint*

The pool-water is warm now, which is good because I strongly dislike cold water.

We're getting a new TV today, I think, but it might be later. Then, once we get it setup, we're gonna watch the "Two Towers" platinum edition!!!! I'm excited about that, 'cause the only extended one I've seen is the "Fellowship of the Ring", and it was AWESOME!!!

Umm, what else? T.J. is coming over later today.

I can't think of anything else worth saying, so, God bless, have a fun fourth, don't burn yourselves(I tend to do that with fireworks)!!!

A Fairy Tale

Lady, you wanted something random,
here it is
Please note that I did NOT write this,
and therefore I am not responsible
for any errors within this wonderful tale.
I got it from Daniel who got it from T-Rev etc.
~~~~~~~~
Once upon a time,
in a land far away,
a beautiful, independent,
self-assured princess
happened upon a frog as she sat,
contemplating ecological issues
on the shores of an unpolluted pond
in a verdant meadow near her castle.
The frog hopped into the princess' lap
and said: "Elegant Lady,
I was once a handsome prince,
until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
One kiss from you, however,
and I will turn back
into the dapper, young prince that I am
and then, my sweet, we can marry
and setup housekeeping in your castle
with my mother,
where you can prepare my meals,
clean my clothes, bear my children,
and forever
feel grateful and happy doing so.
~~~~~~~~
That night,
as the princess dined sumptuously
on a divine meal of lightly sauteed frog legs
seasoned in a white wine
and onion cream sauce,
she chuckled and thought to herself:

I don't freakin' think so.

Long post ahead

I had all these great things to post about last night, now I can only remember a few.

Last Wednesday: we went up to Bentonville so dad could help Uncle Mitch with funeral preparations. So, we got to hang out with Jordan and Jacob. We played super smash bros. quite a bit. We also went swimming and rode scooters and ripsticks ect. I also figured out that you can send text messages via bluetooth, so we had some fun with that. ;P Then we played lazer tag, listened to music, played wii, and watched youtube videos until we went to bed.

ummm, Thursday(because Thursday usually comes after Wednesday):
Aunt Shanna(dad's sister), Uncle Len(her husband), Austin & Josh(their kids, our cousins),
Aunt Laurie(dad's *oldest* sister ;P), Sam(one of her kids, another cousin),
Uncle Kyle(dad's oldest bro) & Aunt Sunnie(his wife), and then their kids (who are all adults), J.R., & and his fiance Courtney, Kimmy & her daughter Nabia(she's 2 1/2 yrs. old and she's sooo cute)
and Miss Madeline(one of my granny's friends)
All of those people gathered at Granny's house and came over to Uncle Mitch's house for lunch and swimming and stuff.
After that, we all(everybody from both houses) went to Granny's house for dinner(T.J. came up at some point too, but he was there when I got there), provided by people from Uncle Mitch's church(I think, but I'm not sure about that). Then we went to the funeral home for the first visitation, or whatever you call it.
Then, everybody that was staying at Uncle Mitch's house went back there, except for me, because I was trading places with Josh for the night.
Thursday night, Austin, Sam, T.J., and I, stayed up really late playing Halo 3!!
Friday morning, we all met at Uncle Mitch's house, again(do you notice a theme here? ;P), and then headed up to Kansas.
Later on Friday, we had another visitation for people up there. Then we(all of the people mentioned before, and then some) went to a place kinda like Golden Corral(except not as good) for dinner. When we got back, me and a bunch of cousins played poker in the hotel lobby, with sugar and creamer from the hotel's breakfast stuff.
Saturday: I got up at 6:45 to go running with Uncle Chet, cousin Joe, Uncle Len, Uncle Mitch, and cousin Jacob. I forgot to mention that Joe is on a track team, and everybody else has been running daily for quite a while(and I haven't hardly at all), so I wasn't sure if I could keep up with them. I think we ran 3.4 miles. Not too far, but a pretty good run. I actually did pretty well. I didn't get tired till the last half mile.
Around noon, Aunt Laurie took Brandon, Austin, and me to get some lunch at the "Kreem Kup". Eventually everybody ended up there too.
Also, I forgot to mention, us older boy cousins were the pallbearers, which paved the way for all sorts of dumb jokes.
Then we had the Funeral service at an Episcopalian church(it was very strange). And then went out to the cemetery(which was out in the middle of nowhere).
Then we went back to the church for dinner. Then took family pictures and went back to the hotel.
Saturday night: we had a Halo tournament, in which I got creamed...

We left the hotel at 3:00 in the morning, so I slept most of the way home.

And that concludes my wonderful post about our trip.

P.S., as I am typing this, mom is playing a game on the Wii. And when I asked if I could try it, she said "finish your post, boy", and then got back to her game.

Now she's tickled because she beat Brandon's high score, on her second try

EDIT: I beat her high score awhile ago, so I ROCK!!!!! What else is new? ;P

It's all so clear now

Well, I was gonna write about our trip to Kansas, but I don't really feel like it since I have something better to say.
Lets see... what's the best way to put this?
I have been thinking for awhile that mom might be pregnant,
just from tiny things that she's said.
But when she took a nap yesterday, and then threw-up later(both of which are rare),
I was pretty darn sure.
So, I went up to mom and asked if I could ask her a question.
"No", she replied, with a bit of... some look in her eye that I can't describe.
So, yeah, I figured it out.
It turns out that mom and dad weren't going to tell us until things got back to normal, but I'm just too smart. ;P
So, now you have it. I'm gonna be a big brother, again.
Kind of exciting, huh? ;P

Please pray

Hey y'all, please pray for us. My granny(dad's mom) has been in a hospital in Bentonville all week. I don't really know what's going on, but it doesn't look good. Dad, Josiah, and I are leaving to go up there right now. I don't know what's gonna happen, but your prayers would be appreciated.
In Christ,
Tony

It's not just the end, or where we begin. It is in the in-beetweens

Whooohooooo!!!!!!! It’s all over!!! I got to sleep in today!!!! We have a fridge full of leftovers!!! I can hardly believe that Lana is married. I’ve known all my life that she was going to get married eventually, but it seems so weird that she’s not gonna be around much.
For those of you that are wondering(and I know there are some, because I‘ve been asked). No, I didn’t “cry”, but my eyes did get watery twice. I couldn’t really help it though, seeing my sister walk down the aisle is kind of a once in a lifetime thing.
The ceremony was really good(but I was probably biased). I think Luke’s favorite part was the kissing. ;P
The reception was fun, but I had to wait for forever before I could go in because we had to get pictures taken first. Daniel, T.J., and I got some sweet bow-ties, I think a lot of people liked them.
I got to meet some of my great grandparents too. I had no idea who they were, but they acted like I was supposed to(I‘d only met them once before that, but I was really little).
I think we’re going to try to take it really easy today and not do much of anything.
We’ve got friends coming over on Sunday, and then I think grandparents are coming on Monday or Tuesday.
I think this is getting kinda boring, so I’ll stop now.

This is the last night she'll spend alone

On the chance that anybody reads this before 7:00 P.M. tomorrow, please pray for us and that everything will come together smoothly(or at least not un-smoothly). There are a million tiny things that still need to be taken care of.

I have no idea what all is getting done tomorrow. All I know is that dad and I still need to go pick up our tuxes and some stuff for the reception.

I think this is the first time I've ever been really stressed in my life. It's not a very pleasant feeling. I need to go to bed.

The amazing thing to me is that in the midst of all of this extra stuff, life still goes on. Maybe not normally, but it goes on nonetheless.

Still, I cannot begin to describe how glad I am that we won't have to do this again for another 20 years or so. I mean, I'm really, really glad most of us are boys. ;P

I have mixed emotions. My sister is getting married. My sister is leaving. I get a brother-in-law. I get Luke(sorry, but I couldn't resist). So, yeah, it's weird.

I'm getting off now

Titles are what you use when you don't have anything better to say

Happy Mother’s day!! Since everybody in the world has a mother, I guess they must be pretty special. ;P
I was gonna write a nice post for mom, but I couldn’t think of the right words to say. So, I guess I’ll just say this ”Happy Mother‘s day, I love you mom”.
Now, where to begin? I don’t remember when I posted last, so I don’t remember what all has happened since then… I guess I’ll just write about Saturday.
Saturday morning, dad, mom Brandon, and Jeremiah got up early and went to a yard sale some church was having. After they got back, Lana, mom, Josiah, and Lily went to the last wedding shower while the rest of us stayed home and cleaned the house and yard and everything. The plan for the rest of the day was that after the shower, mom and them would bring something home for lunch, and aunt Shana and granny would come over for awhile. Around half past noon, dad got a call on his phone, but I didn’t hear it until it was pretty much done ringing. So, I gave him his phone and a few minutes later, I heard something about….Tony….work….farm. Then, being the curious guy I am, go in to see what’s going on. It turned out that it was the guy that was gonna have me work on his farm, and he and his son were going out there for the day and wondered if I could go with them. So, I got to do my first day of work!! I was pretty excited! Once we got there, they gave me the tour of half of the farm(there are 200 acres in all, butyou have to cross a creek to get to the other side, so I saw that later). It was fun. I got to ride in one of these,

and then I ate weeds (with a weed eater) for over two hours until we got rained out(or in, I guess). My arms are sooo sore today. After that, we took a break and then I got the tour of the rest of the farm. There aren’t any cows on the second part, just some barns and a LOT of grass. They showed me where they might build a pond, and where they’ll put a fence. They have around 100 cows right now, and after those improvements, they’ll get another 150 or 200 more. They just had a bull born Friday night and his momma wouldn’t nurse him, so they have to bottle feed him. He’s soo cute. I don’t think I’d ever seen a cow that little before…
After all of that, it was still raining, so we decided to call it quits for the day. It wasn’t bad for my first day of farming. ;)

I'm so cool, you don't even know I'm cool. That type of cool

Oh, let’s see(unless you‘re blind, then you don‘t need to see. Of course, if you were blind, you wouldn‘t be reading this anyways…).
I’m not gonna mention everything that’s happened recently, ‘cause that would take too long and it would be too boring. I’ll just talk, or write, as it were, about… Not everything!! I’m just kidding(sort of. I mean, I‘m not going to talk about “everything”, but I will talk about something. Once I get to it). ;P
I guess I better get to telling something interesting. Ummm… Oh, duh! I went a little brain dead for a second. Where was I? Oh yes, I was remembering something.(btw, I‘m not really this forgetful. I‘m just having some fun).

On Sunday, T.J. B. loaned me his electric bass, so I could learn to play it for when we start a band(if we start a band). It’s cool and pink and awesome. I didn’t really have much time at all to play it that day, and then we had a chemistry field trip on Monday(which was fun, btw), so I only messed with it a tiny bit.

After our field trip, Caleb, Daniel, and I got together to work on our presentation. Daniel had told us that he had a song we could perform, but he wouldn’t tell us what it was. So, he finally shows it to us and it turned out to be an incredibly dumb, yet extremely funny song. Daniel got his guitar out, and we worked on it for awhile. After we went through it once or twice, We decided that Daniel would play guitar, Caleb would play mandolin, and I(yes, me), would get to play the cowbell. I wasn’t too happy with that plan, so I decided I would just learn how to play the song on the bass. It couldn’t be *too* hard, could it? Nope, not too hard. It’s pretty easy, for a beginning bassist. The only trouble I had was that I wasn’t quite sure which “G” or which “F” to play. But I called Daniel this morning, and he said it really didn’t matter. It’s gonna be really sweet once we practice some more. I’ve already got my part mostly memorized.
What else is going on… We got the riding mower fixed, so now we can mow again. The pool is still too cold, but it’s warming up. Hopefully it will be warm enough next week. Wedding stuff is coming along nicely(I think). Everybody in my family that gets to wear a tux has been measured. I need to take Lola and Donor to the vet for their annual shots soon(they‘re gonna *love* that). Which reminds me. I need to get some covexin8 for the goats too…(*I‘m* gonna love that)
I think that’s all,
Yippee-cay-oh, get along little doggie(short dogs are cool too)
Btw, here's a pic of me when I was around Josiah's age. We could pass for twins. Except for the huge age difference.

I just killed a bug(almost)

EDIT: Right after I asked Lana to proofread this, she totally freaked out because she saw a bug, but it ran away before I got there.
Ummm, let's see. I haven't posted since last...Thursday.
I don't think much of anything happened Friday.
Saturday was dad's birthday. We spent most of the day working on leveling the ground for the pool(which is done now, btw).
Sunday, went to church... I'm not sure if we did anything extra. I can't remember.
OH!! I just remembered something exciting we did on Friday!! We went to the mall and went clothes-shopping, which usually isn't all that great, but this time was different!! I was in JCPenney's, looking for jeans, when I saw the coolest things in the world(well, maybe not the *coolest*, but it was pretty cool at the time). Slim-fit men's jeans(boot-cut, I think...). I didn't even know they made such a thing. I was like, "oh, wow. I need to try some of those!". They're pretty sweet!! It might not be a big deal to you guys, but it's pretty cool to find jeans that'll fit really well. It seems that everyone in my family has their own different troubles finding jeans...
Today, Monday, I had chem class in the morning. Our group finished our poster board, finally. It looks pretty awesome. Each group has to do some sort of presentation thing at our class presentation night in two weeks. I'm not sure what we're doing, but I think Me, Daniel, and Caleb(I know that's not the *proper* way to write that, but that's the way I say it...) are gonna all do something for it. We thought about doing a song, but we're not sure how that'd work. We also found out this morning that we were having a final test(oh boy!), or exam, whichever you prefer. I had a little bit of trouble with some of it, but at the end Mr. Herb said we had three minutes to help eachother with two problems. So, I ended up aceing it. I was pretty excited. I think I'm gonna try to clep out of college chem soon, while it's still fresh in my mind.
Mr. Herb is teaching physics and micro-biology next year. I'm taking micro for sure. I don't know about physics, mom doesn't think I could handle two science classes at once...
Tomorrow is Lana's b-day. I got her present tonight, finally.
I think that's all.

later alligator(after a while crocodile) ;P

Thursday, April 24, 2008

I hate wearing wet flip-flops.

Just a short post here. Today has been good. I actually got up on time this morning!*High-five* Brandon, dad, and I started watching some video things for our morning Bible study. It was pretty good. After that, I took care of animals and all that jazz, took a quick run (haven't done that in awhile), and then got started on my school. I finished math pretty quickly, for me, and then did other assorted stuff(played w/ Lily, watched some Star-wars, did some science...).
Then, before lunch, I played chess with Brandon(I won, but that's beside the point). After we finished, somebody asked mom if she would play chess with them, and that's when we found out. Mom has never played chess in her life!!!! I couldn't believe it. She's -- old and she hasn't ever played chess?!?! Not even once?!?! Nope, never played chess. She says she doesn't plan on learning to anytime soon either. I guess it's just not important to some people..;P
We've got Riverwalk tonight, I had to miss last week because I was sick.
The wedding is less than a month away and I still haven't been measured for my tux yet, so that needs to happen soon. I think that's all I was gonna say....
Bye!!
EDIT: Lana says this isn't my greatest post.
Tony says, GET OVER IT!! jk ;P

The first in a long chain

HAPPY BIRTHDAY T.J.!!!!!!!

(or "Tyler Jr.", as he would prefer to be called)
He's getting to be one of those OLD people ;P

A whole 21 years old!!

He's coming over tomorrow
to have his special dinner, presents, and cake and all.
"Cheesecake" mind you.
A big one...
Happy Birthday T.,
Josiah wants me to say he "loves you"

You say you're sorry, does that mean you're sad you got caught?

I think it’s about time to update, so, I update. Let us see… I can’t think of anything worth writing about other than the fact that the Hilde’s came over yesterday!!!! They came over after church and had lunch with us. Then we all went to Lana and Luke’s wedding shower. I think it was the first time I’d ever been to a wedding shower before. It was pretty fun. Probably helped that I knew everybody there.
They had a table set up with cards on it to write pieces of advice for them. I filled two out. I’m not sure if they’ll appreciate all of the work I put into it. ;P (you won‘t understand the humor if you weren‘t there. sorry).
I can’t believe I almost forgot what I’m about to write about. Brittany Hilde(my cousin) got her “dream car” the other day(that was the whole reason that they came up). I was almost jealous at first. But then I took a ride in it. It was a pretty tight fit… I guess I’ll tell you what it is. Better yet, I’ll show you a pic of it (I got this pic from some website, so it's not actually "her" car, but it looks just like it)
Pretty sweet, huh? Not as cool as this! (well, maybe it's as cool, but not as "me")

This is just like my dad's car (except ours has black stripes on the sides and a black rear bumper), which I'm going to buy later. Pretty sweet, huh? Moving on.......

What else??? Chemistry class again today. We took a propane torch to the edges of our poster board. Now it's AWESOME!!!!! I'll get some pics of it once it's finished. Somebody brought cookies and put a plate on our table. They were gone in less than two minutes. ;P I'm done for now, so, I'll be going. Bye!

Monday, April 7, 2008

I hope you like it. It took me three hours to complete the shading on your upper lip

Well, let’s see. *Somebody* told me I have a lack of "newpostness", which I don’t think is a real word.;P But I was gonna post anyways, so, here goes nothing.
Let me think...ah-ha! My dad had/has a kidney stone. The pain started REALLY bad the other day, so on Friday afternoon, Lana took me up to his work so I could play chauffeur for awhile. Then, on Saturday, we had milk run, so I got to drive MORE then!! I just love driving. There’s something about feeling that power under you feet and zooming along the highway. *sigh* It’s wonderful. One of the best parts is when you pass people. Even though I never speed (never "intentionally" that is), there’s always a car going slower than I am. It just gives me a good feeling to drive by someone while I’m in Lightning (that’s dad’s car). I don’t know if it’s just a guy thing or what, but I love driving. So, yeah, enough about cars.
Sunday: Church was good. Worship service was awesome, sermon was good, Sunday school was good. So, yeah, church was good. After church, me and dad ran some errands then we came home and had lunch real quick before Lana, mom, Pie, and dad left to go to Lana and Luke’s shower at his church. I got to stay home and watch the boys. It actually wasn’t too bad. We watched a movie and played outside and had several snacks (you can never forget snacks. Snack time is one of the second best times of day). After that, T.J. came over for awhile.(I’m not sure how long he stayed, I had to head to bed Fred)
Today, had chemistry class. We worked on our display board for our project some. I had completely forgotten about an assignment that we had, so I finished that up real quick while we were waiting for the lecture. I have math and then a little bit of other stuff to do today, then I’m done schoolwise.
Tomorrow, testing in the morning!!! WHOOOHOOOO!!!!! I’m excited!!Testing is soooo much fun. I’m kinda bummed that it’s only for one day though. It used to take like, three days. It’s my last year for it too. So that’s kinda sad.
Ummmm, what else? Normal busy week ahead for the home team. Oh!! I just remembered something! The Hildebrands are coming on Sunday!!!!!! I’m excited. They’re coming up for the wedding too. So we’ll get to see them more this year than we normally would in two years.
I can’t think of anything else. If I do, I’ll just write it later.
So, farewell from the Tony maestro.

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Josh Turner -The Longer the Waiting

This is the song I'm going to sing at the wedding(provided Luke approves of it). It's probably one of the best fitting songs I could do(short of writing one myself, but I ran out of time for that). PLUS, it's one of Lana's favorite Josh Turner songs. I hope I make her cry at her wedding, that'd be cool. In a weird sort of way.

Note: you probably want to turn off the music player first.

There goes my wisdom

Did you ever wonder what would happen if you flushed a live fish down the toilet?
I never really thought about it before today, but I think it would be cool to put a tracking device on a goldfish and flush him on down. I don’t think it would be too cruel, because goldfish live in the water so they wouldn’t be too far from their natural habitat. Plus, it would be cool to see where all they would go.
I can imagine them rushing down through the pipes and then out into wild underground river of “Sewerville”. Maybe they would end up in the river, maybe they would….never mind, that is getting a little gross to think about. But anyways, my point is, wouldn’t it be cool to see what would happen?
Except that none of that would happen if I flushed a fish down our toilet because we have a septic tank, so it would just end up in a big nasty tank underground. That’s sad.

Now, back to reality. I had a orthodontist appointment today (at least we thought so, but that‘s another story) and Dr. Henry adjusted my evil retainer. It never hurt to wear it before, it was just a nuisance to mess with sometimes. But now it hurts really stinkin’ bad.
I need to get off now, so, I guess I’ll add more to this tomorrow.
Bye!!

And he adds more!!
Okay, so, where was I? Oh yeah, the orthodontist. I had to get X-rays and pictures and stuff done. And when they looked at the X-ray, they gave me some horrible news. I have a wisdom tooth forming in the top left (or is it right?) of my mouth. :( I used to have the wonderful theory that since I didn't have wisdom teeth, they would never have to get pulled, so I would never lose my wisdom. But now, not only do I have to have my wisdom taken away, I only get one part of it to start with.
I think I might just never get it pulled though. Some dentist told my mom a long time ago that she was gonna have to get hers cut out, but they came in just fine. Why won't mine?

We got 20 baby chicks the other day!! They've already goten biggger in the few days that we've had them(makes you wonder what kind of hormones they put in that chicken food, don't it?). We got 15 that are hens and another five that we're not sure about. I think we have 2 or 3 roosters. It'll be nice to get a bunch of eggs again(if we ever did get "a bunch" of eggs before). Several weeks before Lana's graduation, we bought our first batch of chicks. I think we got eleven or some weird number like that(why eleven and not twelve?). But when we had only had them for a few weeks, a dog got in there and killed all but four (which was really sad because those ones were like pets. I even had one of them trained to do some tricks). Eventually, we got some more from different peopkle and I think we had maybe 16 at one time, but one by one the dogs up the street would kill them. Now we only have three grown chickens and one of them is a roostar and the other two are bantams (one of which has only layed one egg since we've had her). But, we have 20 chicks that are rapidly growing and nobody has seen Bull(that evil pit bull) in a week. So we should be in pretty good shape chickenwise in a few months.
I think that's all of the BIG stuff, so, bye again!

Happy B-Day Lily!!!!

Today is Lily-Pie's first birthday!!!!!

She is getting so big!!!

She can already have a conversation with you (provided you have good linguistics skills)

She crawls around and pulls herself up on everything (which means that nothing is safe)

She absolutely *loves* music (especially the type that *I* like)

And finally, She has given our family an abundance of joy every day for the past year (even though she gets fussy sometimes).

Happy birthday Lily-Pie!!!

I love you

It's a big blueish-green man with a strange goatee. I'm guessing that's significant.

Oh boy! here it comes! wait a minute... there it goes! What is it? It's PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME! PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!! Sorry(not really ;P) that was dumb.

Tru D-O-G what you got for me?

Whoa! I feel good(banananananananaa!).

Take me to the river... put me in the water....

Don't step on my blue suede shoes...

What you got, what you want, what you need? Gotta be your savior.

I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky. I think about it every night and day. Spread my wings and fly away...

Come on somebody, why don't you run? Ol Red is itchin', to have a little fun. Get my lantern, get my gun. Red will have you treed 'fore the mornin' comes.

I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more...

ARGH!!! I keep getting all sorts of songs stuck in my head!!! They won't leave!!!!
I wish I could get a rap song stuck in my head. That would be cool.

I need to pick a song to sing at the wedding, but I can't think of one!!! I've only got two months left!!! Any suggestions??

Btw, this post didn't have any point to it. I just wanted to say something.

Well, I guess since I'm already on here, I might as well say more. MORE!!! That was dumb, but it had to be done. ;P

I'll probably write a real post soon. Maybe in a couple of days. I just wondered what type of comments I would get on a post like this.
I need to try to get my cousins to comment on here. That would be cool... My cousins are cool. And all of my cousins have one cousin that is exceptionally awesome. He's pretty tall, has dark curly hair, and he likes to imitate people all of the time. ;P

Got Green?

Usually I don’t have anything to post about, but today I actually have a couple of somethings to post about!!
First (and most recent): Lola (my little dog) was sniffing around some bushes and got her ear caught in some thorns. She just got a little slit in her ear, nothing major, but it bled like CRAZY. She looked like she had just about lost her head or something like that. I guess that’s not really the type of thing that people like to read about, huh? So, I’ll talk about….something different!! Umm, let’s see, I had something else to write about, I just know I did!!! I can’t think of it!! It’s DRIVING ME CRAZY!! ARGH!! Ooooh!! I just remembered!! It’s St. Patrick’s Day today!! So, if anyone in your family isn’t wearing green, run up and pinch ’em before they can change clothes. Unless of course the un-green person is Lana and she is standing by the sink and she’ll spray you with freezing cold water if you pinch her. But if it’s not Lana, then it’s probably semi-safe to go ahead and pinch them. ;P
I wrote a poem about wind the other day and Lana said it was good. I’m not sure if I really like it or not.
I know, I know, you guys are just dying to read it aren’t you? Hmmm, show them or not show them? Gotta know. I guess I’ll show you.
I am the wind
I give the trees a voice
I move the air under a bird’s wings
I bring the clouds that hide the sun
And then I take them away again
I am a gentle breeze
I am a powerful storm
I make the waves in the ocean
I make buildings crumble and fall
I lift children’s kites
I awaken men’s dreams
I am the wind
I’m still not sure if I like it or not. But if Lana says it’s good I guess it must be at least mediocre.
I had something else to post about, but it left me. Oh yeah, I got it again.
Easter is this Sunday!! I think we’re going to my Granny’s house, but I’m not 100% sure about that. And I think that we are going to the Easter program at the Hobbs’s church; we’ve gone every year since we've known them.
The other day, Lana told me about “Enchanted”. I think that it’s some fairy-tale movie gone wrong or something like that, but I don’t know (it looks funny). Anyways, it’s coming out tomorrow, so we’ll probably rent it at some point this week.

Birthdays, dancing, and food

Ahh, (sigh) life is good(for the most part).
Uncle Scott went skiing last Monday, so he and Uncle Charlie(who isn‘t even related to Uncle Scott, so it’s kind of funny that we call him “Uncle Charlie”) met at our house and he left his car here.
He came back today to pick it up. So I got to show him Felicity (who is getting big, btw).
I’ve been playing my guitar everyday for the past week or so(which doesn‘t have anything to do with anything). It would be a lot better if I knew more songs because everything that I play, I can play really well. Problem is, I don’t know just a ton of songs.
We had chicken noodle soup for lunch today. MAN it was goood!! Luke wrote a post on food once, I might have to do that sometime…
Lily-pie’s b-day is in a few weeks. I need to get a present for her, and then I need to get a present for T.J., and then one for dad, and another one for Lana, and one last one for Josiah. It great having five birthdays in in less than 1 ½ months time. ;P

I want to start working soon, but my future boss hasn’t said anything about when I’m going to start. *If* I do end up working for him, I think I’ll be a cross between a cowboy and a farmhand. I guess you could call it a farm boy, but I’m already one of those so it’s probably better to call it a cowhand, or maybe just not give me a title. If I *don‘t* work for him, I might work at Goodson’s or someplace like that.
What I really need to do is figure out what I want to do for a living after college so that I can figure out what I should major in. I just re-realized the other day that, I’m going to graduate in a few years and I’ll be an adult in 2 ½ years. Whoa, when did everybody get so old? (no offense mom and dad ;P)

I talked to Tim about Fan the Flame this morning. He asked me (again) what day it’s going to be. And then he said, “you know what? Maybe you should just e-mail me about it, them I can save it and look at it later”. So, I told him that I would send him a e-mail sometime this week. And then, he got the idea to just put *me* in charge of getting all of the information and telling everyone about it and all that stuff, then he wouldn’t be able to forget about it.
I probably need to talk to him some more and find out exactly what he wants me to do… I think that it will be good for the youth group if they go. I know it’s been good for me the last couple of years. ;P

Just 2 ½ months until the wedding. There’s still a TON of stuff to get done, most of it has to be done closer to the time of the wedding.

T.J. used to work at I.F.C auto shop, and he went bowling with Barry(his old boss) the other day. He said that when it wasn’t Barry’s turn, he was in the back dancing like I would do. And then T.J. started saying that he had some sweet moves, at which point I interrupted saying, “Hey! You said Barry dances like me and that he has sweet moves. Does that mean I have sweet moves too?” Apparently T.J. thinks that I do. ;P
After talking with T.J. for awhile, he said that Barry used to teach dance at some studio in town, and he would be willing to teach us some stuff for free.
I think that would be pretty sweet. To dance alongside a guy that dances like I do. That doesn’t happen everyday. ;P

If only goats could type....

Now, you have to wonder what goes through a little goat's head.
If Felicity could type, she'd probably say something like this...
Awwww, ain't I cute??
Check out my noble pose ;P and my fancy footwork.

Oh my, there's something on the wall
now it's on the ground.

I think I'm gonna go over here for awhile.

What're you lookin' at?

Now now, Felicity, you shouldn't be so vain... ;P

Sunday, March 2, 2008

and then there were four...

There's something that I have been waiting a long time for,
and it happened tonight!!
A goat was finally born on our farm!!!

Ever since I bought Speckles, I was never really sure if she was pregnant or not.
But, I found out for sure earlier this evening!!

This is what I found when I went to lock up the goats!!So, I can finally say it.

SPECKLES IS A MAMA!!!!

I will post more pics later, but this was the only good one I had ;P

Words from a football dislikin' hot-pink wristband wearin' "duitar" playin' guy...

I got my hair cut on Saturday. It’s just long enough that my hair still curls up, but not so long that it won’t brush nicely. So that’s good (Thanks mom). On Sunday, most of the family was sick, so only Lana and I went to church. At chemistry class on Monday, we all got our papers back, all graded and everything. I got a 100!! I was pretty happy about that. Later on Monday night, Lana picked a voice out for me. I know, it sounds pretty weird, but it had to be done. I guess I better explain what I’m talking about.
I have this ability (if you want to call it that) to mimic, almost perfectly, the voices of many of the popular Christian singers. The problem is, because I do it so often, I have a hard time finding my “normal” singing voice. So, Lana, being the loving sister that she is, suggested that I should just copy one of the voices that I can do well and make that my normal singing voice (She chose Brandon Heath, btw, in case any of you were wondering). But now that problem is, I still can’t, for example, sing a Skillet song without copying John Cooper’s voice. I have to wonder how many other people have this problem. ;P Actually, I was wondering if there is a way to make a living by “mocking” famous people (other than Elvis Presley).
Not much else is happening except I got sick on Tuesday night, which really stinks. I’m pretty much over it now though. I’m just a tired and weak. I should be at least mostly back to my normal (or not so normal) self by tomorrow.

Time for braces to say good-bye.

Hello everyone and welcome to Mountain Dew anonymous, for those that have abuse problems with Mountain Dew…. I think I’ll just stop there.

I don’t really have much to talk about, but I wanted to write a post. So, bear with me as I ramble a bit.
I GOT MY BRACES COMPLETELY OFF!!!!!! I am just a “little” bit excited.
It felt sooo good to finally get them off after two years of check-ups and adjustments and such. It also felt really good when Dr. Udouj told me teeth looked, and I quote, “beautiful”.
Now, whenever I brush my teeth, it seems so effortless, almost too easy, since I’ve had to brush around and under and over all of the brackets. Also, the first time I brushed my teeth after getting them off, they were literally “squeaky clean”. It was soooo cool!

On Thursday afternoon (Luke‘s B-day), Luke drove Lana, Brandon, and I up to Springdale to watch the Patriots play in the state tournament!! It was one of the best games I’ve ever watched. And, it wouldn’t have been nearly as fun if the patriots hadn’t won (the first game I mean, not the whole tournament )! Could somebody please let me know how they did yesterday!! I meant to call Daniel and ask him, but I forgot.

I can’t think of anything else that happened that is worth writing about, so, I guess I’ll stop now.

Oh, btw, the wedding is exactly three months away. Things are gonna start getting really crazy around here…

I'M GONNA TRY TO BE CIVILIZED...

Warning! This post will be very random since I thought my update posts are getting pretty boring.
I’m wearing my glasses because I couldn’t see very well all day. So I finally remembered “Oh! I have glasses, I should probably put them on”. sometimes I feel so dumb….
I can’t think of anything better to do, so I’m going to… type something! WOW!!! That was the most profound thing I’ve typed all night.
Lately there has been much discussion about my different “faces” and voices and such. I might post pics or a video or something eventually, but I don’t feel like it right now. So, I guess the best I can do is say that most of the voices, while being able to make the majority of people laugh, are not really worth posting about. So, I probably won’t post about them (that was the second most profound thing I‘ve typed).
I think that I’m about to say something random (dramatic gripping pause)…..
ARAGORN IS AWESOME, GIMLI IS GREAT, and LEGOLAS DOESN’T HAVE ANY LEGOS!! WHICH IS WHY HE’S LEGO-LESS. That is really dumb, but I thought that it needed to be shared, so, I shared it (third most profound thing). I think that our youth group is almost definitely going to Fan the Flame, which will be pretty awesome I think.
Sickness is making it’s rounds in our house. I still haven’t gotten sick, and I sure hope that I won’t.
I can’t think of anything else to write about, so, I guess I’ll stop writing pretty soon here (fourth most profound thing).
Oh!, I almost forgot. I’m working on starting a semi-regular teen movie night thing. If any of you guys would be interested in coming to it you can e-mail Lana about it and we’ll get you the information on it.
I’m not sure how long we’ll keep doing it. Lana say’s her and Luke will come if they get invited and aren’t too busy. And, I almost forgot to mention something else. I call it a “teen” movie night, because then we can choose a movie that is PG-13 and then leave it up to the parents to decide if they want their kids watching it or not. So, If you want info on it, e-mail Lana and we’ll get you info on it (fifth most profound thing).
Well, I’m gonna stop writing because I don’t really have anything at all left to say.
Happy Presidents Day!!! Or would you say “Merry” Presidents Day????

Btw, this is the picture that I would put on posters if I was gonna run for President.....

Pretty snazzy, huh?

Apparently It's time for a new post......

Not too much going on at our house, just normal everyday living.
On second thought, normal life has a lot of stuff going on, so, I guess we’ve had a lot happening.
I should say that there hasn’t been to much *extra* going on at our house.

I’m racking my brain, trying to remember if anything exciting has happened in the past week.
Let me think…… Well, Thursday, we had Riverwalk church and only one kid showed up, so, we all kind of goofed off for a while before starting the lesson. I think that it was good for Alex (the only kid that showed up) to be there with just us.
I think that he is one of the kids that really does care about the lessons, not just snacks and games.
I don’t think much extra happened Friday. At least, not that I can remember.

On Saturday my dad and I started working on an invisible fence for Donor, among other weekend chores and whatnot.
Sunday, church was awesome!! It was really different, they changed up the routine, our normal routine! But, I was okay with it once I got over the initial shock of it being different ;P
The sermon was awesome, you can download it from here (it'll be the one that says, "Tim, the 'E' word", or something like that).
After the sermon, Mom and Lana take all of the younger kids home and dad and I stay for sunday school.
After sunday school, dad and I stayed in town and killed time before our outreach meeting thingy. I don't stay in the meeting, I just eat food and then go down to the gym to play. ;P
That’s really tough, isn’t it. ;P
After goofing off and giving Joel M. a black eye (accidentally of course ;P), we went home and finished the fence. Here's a picture of the fence.

What? you don't see anything? That's because it's "invisible". pretty cool, huh. Donor doesn't think so. Poor thing doesn't even want to go outside anymore. He'll get over it after a while.... I hope.

Had chemistry class on Monday, and turned in our papers. I sure hope I get a good grade on mine... I might post it eventually.

I can't think of anything else worth writing about right now.... That is, nothing that wouldn't require a whole new post. ;P Yep, I'm pretty sure that's everything.

No!! Wait!! It's not everything!!! I GET MY BRACES OFF IN TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foul Play

Well, something happened with my music player. when I got on my blog today, it wasn’t my play list, it was somebody else's, and it was REALLY BAD. so I had to take it off. Sorry if anyone heard any of that junk.

I guess since I’m already writing I might as well do a quick update. Not too much going on.
Queenie, my big goat, died on Saturday. I was pretty stinkin’ sad. Oh well, moving on….

Sunday, T.J. came over after church for super bowl snacks and such. Actually, we don’t really watch the super bowl. We just have all of the snacks and watch movies.
Monday, I had chemistry class, which went really well. I understood completely everything.
Mr. R. showed us the format that he wanted our papers in, which was good because I was not quite sure exactly how he wanted it.
Monday night, we went to the PATRIOT BASKETBALL GAME!!!!
We didn’t see the junior b game, junior a team completely stomped the knights!! Girls team got beat. The senior team played a great game, but lost by like three points. All was fun anyways.

Oooh, I forgot to mention.
Sunday, I finally got the nerve and time to ask my youth pastor if he wanted to take the youth group to Fan the Flame. And he said YES!! Now, I need my wonderful future brother-in-law/Luke/warrior to get me a information packet to give to him. Please!

BTW, I get my braces off in NINE DAYS!!!!!!

Fish-hooks and Car-wrecks

Here’s a really neat story that I would’ve posted yesterday, but, we were so busy living it that I didn’t have time to post.

Okay, go back a couple years. My family has been doing outreach ministries a local apartments since Brandon was a little guy. The first place we did it at was Oakbrook (right across the street from Riverwalk).
There was a boy (I only say boy because he was a boy when we first met him. He‘s probably like 17 now..) named Jaycob that came most of the time. He got into trouble every once in a while, but overall he was a pretty good kid.
As the years went by, he got a special place in our hearts that only a few of the apartment kids have gotten. Like most of the kids that have come to our various ministries, he moved away and we hardly ever see him.

Now, fast forward to yesterday morning.
My mom got an e-mail from Mrs. Connie, a lady from our outreach team, that said that she had been at the hospital and ran into Jaycob. Apparently he had been in a pretty bad car wreck, but he was fine (considering he had been in a car wreck), but, his best friend Mike, was in critical condition.

Fast forward a few hours. It’s around eleven A.M. we have people coming over for dinner the house is a wreck, and to top it all off, I find a fish-hook stuck in Lana’s kitty’s paw. Baaaad day. After trying and failing to remove the hook, my mom decided to take the cat to the vet.

When she got to the vet, they told her it would be about half an hour. So, she decided to take Jeremiah and Josiah out to eat while they waited. They were going to walk wherever they went and boys wanted to go to McD’s but mom didn’t want to cross the street with them so they went to Long John Silvers (which we hardly ever go to) instead.
While they were there, Jaycob’s step mom comes in. eventually, my mom gathers the courage to go over and talk to her (at this point she wasn‘t *positive* that it was her, she‘d only met her once - about 4 or 5 years ago).
She finds out that, yes, it was his step mom, and she told her that all of us from the “Church at Oakbrook”, which no longer even exists, were praying for them.

I just thought it was kinda cool that God used a little cat with a hook in its paw to get mom to go to a restaurant that she wouldn’t have gone to, so she could minister to the mom (that we don’t really even know) of a boy that we met at Oakbrook Church, all those years ago.

Lana

Lana told me that I needed to post, so, I’m going to post about her (not quite what you expected, is it Lana?).

It was a dark and stormy night when Lana entered this world. Was it her that made the world stormy? Or was it the world's dislike of her that caused this dreadfulness? No one will ever know, because none of the nurses or doctors ever lived to tell the tale….
That wasn’t very nice at all. I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.

Let’s see, she was born April 29th 1988, while my dad was in the Army, stationed in Landstuhl, Germany.
I wasn’t born for another four years so I don’t really know what she was like when she was little. *But*, I do know that when she was around three years old, she got hit in the head with a garden rake. She’s pretty lucky that she’s not mentally disabled, because the prongs of the rake went through her skull. My parents took her to the hospital and she ended up getting her head shaved and cut open, so the doctor could clean the dirt out of her brain. Once her hair started to grow back, she had a pretty nice mullet. I have to wonder how smart she’d be if that hadn’t happened… :p.
When she was little, she would tell mom and dad, “You're not my real parents, my real parents live in New York city”. I don’t think they appreciated that very much.

I think I’m gonna skip ahead about ten years to the not so distant past. A few years ago, she went on a nine-week trip to Puerto Rico, to help out at a Christian school. I think that’s also right after she started “Call to Battle”.
The summer before last, she went on another trip to Bogota, Columbia, to teach an English class.

More recently, five months ago today to be exact, Luke came over and asked if she would…. court him? Be courted? I don’t know what to call it, but she's bein’ courted.
This Christmas, Luke came over once again and gave her a ring.
Now, she’s leaving me and starting a new life and I get to go over to their apartment and not spill popcorn on Luke’s carpet and watch LOTR.

Now, just because I can, I’m going to list 5 things that we have in common.
#1, we both love to read.
#2, we both like to sing.
#3, we both enjoy doing outreach ministries at Riverwalk.
#4, we think most of the same thoughts. Which can get kind of freaky sometimes.
#5, most importantly, we both love Jesus with all of our hearts. She kinda loves Luke too
Now, I’m going to *not* list 5 things that we don’t have in common because, well, I'm just not going to.
Something that’s sorta funny is, she never wants to drive anywhere late at night because she doesn’t want to be gone when Luke calls (my parents don't think its safe for her to talk on the phone and drive at the same time....)

I could keep writing, things are coming to my brain but I don’t think she would like me to type some of them.

So, I’ll tell you about her in 7 words.
She loves God and she loves Luke.
There, I did it Lana, I wrote a new post. You happy now?

Why do I even bother using titles? They never have anything to do with what I write

It’s been awhile since I posted a “normal, this is how life is” post. So here goes nothing.
Sunday was… um.. church and that’s pretty much it.
Monday was chemistry, and I understood all of the lesson! Whoohoo!! snaps for Tony .
Tuesday, I don’t think we did much of anything other than school and whatnot.
Wednesday, I can’t remember what we did, I don’t think it was anything unusual.
Thursday was Riverwalk church which went pretty well except for when the kids got a little… distracted during the lesson. But other than that it went pretty well.
Sometime during the week, my parents decided to do a bread making demonstration at our church on Friday night.
Well, Friday morning, I find out that my dad wants me to bring my unicycle to church because somebody’s sons were coming and he thought they’d think it was pretty cool.
Ha ha, that’s funny dad, I haven’t really ridden my unicycle in over two years. But no harm was done, I didn’t hurt myself or even embarrass myself at all. It was kind of frustrating not being able to ride as well as I used to but it was fun anyways.
Today, we just cleaned the house and put plastic on the windows ’cause, IT’S FREEZING OUTSIDE!!! I don’t think that the people that built our house had ever heard of a special thing called, “insulation”.
Jeremiah, Lana, and Lily-pie are all sick and it looks like Brandon is getting sick too.
I *really* hope I don’t get sick because I don’t have time to be an “invalid” again.
Right now we’re in the middle of watching “National Treasure” for the thousandth time.
T.J.’s coming over after church tomorrow. It’ll be nice to see him again. I haven’t seen him in almost a week. He’s gone longer without seeing us but it’s kind of different when he ”goes home” after coming over.
I guess I’ll get used to it after a while but I’ll still miss him.

Ooooh! I almost forgot, my mom started a blog this week. Go check it out sometime, I have a link to it on my sidebar. Actually, I'll put a link right here http://pursuingjoy.blogspot.com/

BTW It’s like four months and four days till Luke’s going to be my brother-in-law.
That’s gonna be… different.

For whatever reason I can’t wait till “Fan the Flame” 2008. I’m going to try to get my youth pastor to take our youth group to it this year…. I think I’m done now.

The Post I Wasn't Gonna Write.

Here I am, writing a post I didn’t intend to ever write, I don’t feel qualified to write,
and would prefer not to write. But, I'm writing it anyways, because for some reason, I feel like it’s what I was supposed to write; it’s what God wanted me to write.

Quite a bit lately, Lana and Luke have been writing about love, romance ect. Don’t get me wrong, I think love is great; after all, there’s a whole book in the Bible about love. Well, if love is so great, shouldn’t we all dive headfirst into it?

Years ago, my parents decided that none of us kids should date. It’s never made me upset because at the time that they told us, I was too young to care, and as I got older, it was easy for me to see how awful the dating cycle really is.

My parents told me that each time you have a relationship with someone, you give them a piece of your heart that you can never get back. In this day and age, not dating is a thing unheard of. Some people, if asked, would probably say that if you don’t date, you’ll never get married.
I’m sure there are also people that wonder how you’ll ever meet that “special someone” if you
don’t date (Luke and Lana are solid proof against that one :^).

I remember one of my relatives was bragging one time that he had, like five girlfriends in one semester. Once again, I was too young to care. But looking back, I can see that not only did he have five girlfriends, he lost pieces of his heart five times. People want to give their whole heart to their spouse, not just the crumbled remains of it.
One thing about not dating (or having dating-type relationships) is you can honestly say “there was never anyone else”. There’s no pressure from worrying that you might see an old boyfriend/girlfriend. Obviously, this has never happened to me, but it seems like it would be really awkward.

So what’s the alternative to dating? It’s called “courtship”. One of the best things about courtship is that the parents are involved every step of the way, ready to help and encourage you whenever you need it. When my parents first decided against dating, they didn’t even know what the alternative was called, much less how courtship was supposed to work. Years later, they found a book “When God Writes Your Love Story” by Eric and Leslie Ludy that helped encourage them that it could be done .

Through this book, the Ludys share how they came to realize that dating isn’t the way to go. They share how they overcame obstacles and ridiculing to stay pure. And of course, they
share their love story. I would encourage all of you to read this book if you haven’t already. It’s more proof that you can get married without ever dating.

One more thing that kind of goes along with this is another piece of wisdom my parents gave me (it’s mostly for the guys but it won’t hurt for girls to read it). This is what it is - start saving now! I don’t mean save for a x-box360; I mean save for a house. I’ve got a head start over lots of people since I started saving when I was about ten. Jeremiah and Josiah are going to grow up their whole lives saving. Saving for a house, saving for their futures, and saving their hearts for one person and one person only.

So to answer the question at the beginning, no we shouldn't just dive straight into love.
What should we do then? Well it says in the Bible, "do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires". We should save our hearts until the proper time comes.
